No swing attempt on a strike 3 should get extra negative OPS impact

Post by cardzilla »

i really hate when anyone watches strike 3...most recently by donnie

these players watch strike 3 too much, bc its better to hope for a ball than protect the plate.

getting extra negative ops impact might make them protect better on strike 3 since all they care about is their stats

Players don’t play by the pitch is too close to take rule anymore it’s look for a ball to drive and drive it and if it’s not a pitch they can drive they take it

The last two decades have morphed from:
“Protect the plate”
To
“GUESS” at what pitch you are getting.
Guess wrong....and the pitch can be center cut and you stand there!
And BTW.....pretty much every team does it not just the Cards!
