Sounds like NYR is going to trade K Miller to the Canes for picks. But we lost Bolduc for an AHL gamble...honestly, I hate this trade more and more by the minute.
Miller is a lefty
So just being right handed makes 8-game Mailloux significantly more valuable than a proven, young, Top 4 NHL dman like Miller? It is very hard for me to defend this trade at the moment. In hindsight, it may work out but it is still dumb.
This trade is getting HAMMERED in the hockey online forums as a big win for the Habs and loss for the Blues.
You are far too smart to put any stock in the opinions of online forums. Rush to judgment before the paint dries is silly. This is like grading a pro sports draft the morning after the draft. Grade the draft 2-3 years from now. Same for this trade. I get it, I do, but the kid is 22, and yeah, he's got some [shirt]ty baggage, but they system gave him a second chance, thinking we should to. There are many variables in place here. Let's see how it all plays out.
I'll give you a non sports related example of something that is getting hammered that shouldn't and that's the plea that's going to happen tomorrow in the Kohlberger (sp) murder case. The Idaho college killings. This is what you and I do for a living. I don't know your area of specialty but that is mine. 4 convictions with life without in our system is a win for the people, it's a win for the victims and regardless of the amount of noise being created, especially by one of the victim's families, it's a win for the victims families. The fact that the shitheel is going to sodomy central until they take him out in a box is a great thing. The victims families wanted revenge and I get it, but they likely had no real handle on what they would have had to sit and listen to for months. The families wanted the death penalty but the death penalty is such a ridiculous endeavor in this country that the odds of it every happening and being carried out, from the verdict, thru appeals to an execution are small.
I'm not really sure what my point is other than the internet sucks and give the trade a chance.
