I’d have preferred him to Bjugstad but sounds like he had his heart set on going back to Dallas. Hard to blame him.

The extra year must have played a part too.
I dont think we wanted to go 3 years.

Yes, presumed to be 3 years, $2M per.

Re: Faksa to Dallas
Army said they spoke to his agent last night and it was pretty clear that the Blues needed to look at other options. As mentioned, if Faksa wanted to go back to Dallas AND was able to get a third year out of them, good for him.
Re: Faksa to Dallas
Too bad as I think he's much better than Sunny.

If sunny plays more than half the games this year, that won't be a good thing.Harold_Melvin wrote: ↑01 Jul 2025 21:13 pmAgreed. I love me some body banging Sunny and the occasional goal, but he's in the twilight of his career.

Don't really need Sunny for every game? Think that 4th line time is gonna be a less consistently the same line, think you'll see Joseph in for sure in heavier games, and in games where we need defense sunny will get in there.
Think Sunny will get ~50 games in this year, same as joseph, and texier will be looking at not many if he survives to the regular season on the roster.

Texier is the first option to replace Bolduc in the top 9. Our scouts were ridiculously high on him and he's at least got some offensive skills. It's not ideal, but you can do a LOT worse as an offense-oriented 3rd liner(cough KK, Leivo cough).
Joseph is the one on the bubble. If Army can somehow land a legit top 9 center; Joseph is gone.

agree... Tex needs to stay on the ice and I think he'll surprise some folks.. his problem isn't ability... it's availabilitykimzey59 wrote: ↑01 Jul 2025 21:36 pmI lean the opposite direction.JoshInFenton wrote: ↑01 Jul 2025 21:30 pm Don't really need Sunny for every game?
