Skenes and a red hot Pirates.
Good morning.
Man this series suddenly has sweep written all over it. Game one was so crucial. With Skenes next.
Don’t say he has never beaten us. He knows. That’s a bad deal. Plus my boy Pallante goes today.
Very well might come down to Gray tomorrow to take a game. Then Cubs.
I’m telling ya, last night was a huge game in this stretch. Set the table.
Makes tonight a must win- ha.
Enjoy.

Red hot Pirates .................... surprised to see that phrase this year.
The NLC is currently 21 games over .500.
Didn't think that would happen either.
What's next? Cards win the division?

At any level baseball, when you score 37 runs in four consecutive games, you’re hot. Now Skenes.
Yes the central may be a dog fight, with two WC.
To win division need a bat, and a TOR. I see maybe one this year, one next year. Although the arm is probably available now.
Re: Skenes and a red hot Pirates.
37-4 in their last 4 games. Has any other team done that in 4 games this year?
The Mets really tanked that series. Lindor, Soto, Alonso .............. lol.

I was happy to see the Buccos sweep the Mets last weekend, and figured the Cards could cool them off.......
Meanwhile, the Marlins have just set 2 club records with a 6-0 road trip and 9 straight road victories.....

With Skenes today, do we wanna save Gray for Cubs gane one, or maybe stop a sweep tomorrow.

I have a really bad feeling Skenes is going to absolutely light us up this time

Good question. Day off Thursday ................ IDK, but think I'd save Gray for game 1 against Cubs so he gets some extra rest thru the grind.sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑01 Jul 2025 07:49 amWith Skenes today, do we wanna save Gray for Cubs gane one, or maybe stop a sweep tomorrow.

I also expect him to be extra amped up. Last time the cardinals beat him there was an article on espn essentially discussing how the cardinals have owned him to this point.sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑01 Jul 2025 07:55 amSooner or later he’ll beat us. Timing is everything, and it never seems like a good time to face a league Ace.
You know he saw that. I bet his velocity is even a tick higher this game than his average
