A tick to the right of 70 YO. Retired at age 55.

Family has roots in central Ill and Cardinals fans since 1940's. Dad returned from WWII and family started making trips to STL to watch games at Sportsman Park. Family began season tickets in 1970 and ended 2018.

Blessed to see the greats Gibson, Musial, Willie M, Red, Ozzie, AP, Herr, Javier, Brock, et al. Further blessed to see world championships, WS, playoff games, etc. When in Nam could not wait to get the Stars and Stripes to see if Cards won.

Since 2022 & 2023 interest has waned in beloved Cardinals. Product quality has declined. Ownership, FO, mangers are below any MLB standard. Hopefully, 2026 will bring new ownership, Bloom, and manager. Winn is the future. Check CT periodically when at home.

Notice he didn’t say anything about the playoffs in 2022.

He & Baghdad Bob seem to have the time and are relentless in supporting DeTwit and Mo-ran...as I posted earlier, I'm guessing this is their social outlet...I've always wondered if Tanker the Wanker is Baghdad Bob's sock...

I retired (after 20 yrs) from the USAF in 1986, and from the National Weather Service in 2005. Saw my first game(s), a DH against the New York Giants in June 1950. Cards won both games. Favorite player was Stan Musial.

Generally only check the forum on game days, and log on an hour or two before game time. Have the game on TV, Gameday and CT game forum on the computer. Rarely post anymore, rarely question the manager's game moves, or criticize management. They have information I, nor anyone else on CT has. MLB is a business and a lucrative one, and maximizing the bottom line is 1st priority. I go into hibernation on CT after the WS is over.
Wow, congratulations

First MLB game I saw in person Roger Maris drove in Bobby Tolan in extra innings for a Cardinals win.

I am retired.

Retired at 59 almost 16 years ago now. Check in frequently now but not everyday. My Dad took me to games at all 3 Cardinal stadiums and often to Comiskey and Wrigley. He was a huge Cub fan but an Uncle turned me into a life long Cardinal fan when I was around 8. Don't think Dad ever forgave him. Dad bought a Chicago Tribune every day and scanned the box scores religiously. He knew stats on every player and team. Passed in 2014. Really miss our talks.

eddie stinky wrote: 30 Jun 2025 15:45 pm I retired in 2017, moved to Florida, started a couple of side hustles marketing on the internet and a couple youtube channels. Between that and fishing I keep pretty busy. I try to check in every day or so, but don't post much. 67 y/o and still after that 10 lb bass.
The channels bass fishing related? Eight years in FL and no 10 pounder? My biggest in MO is 8.8. I don't largemouth fish much anymore. When I fish now, it's either floating a river for Small mouth, or catching panfish under a bobber.

Just turned 76 and retired on August 1, 2023.
Some weeks I spend more time on here than others.
A bit different here from another forum, 11 Warriors, Ohio State sports, in that here we seem to insult each other quite a bit more.
Have never been to Busch III and don't feel like I have lived a deprived adulthood. Last Blues game I have been to was at The Old Barn, of happy memory. I miss that dump: NBA All-Star game, the Hawks, The Steamers, the circus, Lippizaners, Blues, St. Louie U. Hockey and all very close to Musial and Biggie's.

Attempted to retire in December- was fortunate to receive an offer I could not refuse to return to work as a Regional Sales manager and came out of retirement in January.

Would estimate I check 1-2x per day but more frequently during the winter meetings and at the trade deadline.

Really enjoy the knowledge insights of CT.
