I think they know their window is four years at the max.
I also don’t think he is a very intelligent player and I would imagine that they don’t see him as a team leader once that window closes.

Boy does Bouchard have some skills. It would have been nice to see more of them in the finals. It looked like he was afraid to make a mistake. He made several in last year’s finals and it looked to me that he played a very tentative game- which is a waste for a player with his world class talent.
I dont think their window is open as wide as they may think. Draisaitl and Mcdavid cant carry the whole team all the time. They will get worn out quickly or injured.

That is probably true.

Turrible, as Charles would say. Too much and he gets to walk away at 29.
Honestly thats a good rhing. I think they will see by age 29 they are glad they didnt sign him for longer.

One could almost say that Edmonton never really had a true window. They might have had a cracked doorv but bad decisions slammed that shut. Bowman is one of the leagues most overrated gms.

They backed into the finals last year, they didn't show up for the first few games until the Panthers went to the golf course early. This year they were never really in the finals.

They have two sports cars and not enough seats for the passengers on the rest of the team.
