Tuesday, Wed, Thursday. 12:00 noon to approx 1:15pm.

1 hour of drills workout then a 15 minute 3 on 3 scrimmage. The scrimmage was pretty fun to watch today.

No parking problem. Might want to get there at least 15 min early, give or take.

Crowds will likely get larger as the week goes on.

My thoughts:

Lindstein looked great, crisp passing and always made the right decision. No one got around him. No one.

Fyadorov is a spunky a hole you would hate to play against. Fun to watch.

Carboneau looked out of sorts and fumbled the puck quite a bit.

Stancl looked great and had some slick goals.

Pecarcik is a player, great along the boards and won every battle.

Mrsic has a hell of a wrist shot.
I agree with this. Lindstein is going to be a top 4 dman. He's impressive.
One thing that I did not expect was the '23 7th rounder Suseyev. He sure doesn't look like a late round player. Great skater with speed and skill.
Stancl and Lindstein look the furthest along to me.
Agree. Where were you sitting. The wife and I sat center ice on the PB side.
I walked around. My wife had to work. She will go with me tomorrow. Enjoy!

Stancl is going to be a better player than the default 4C I have seen some people plugging him into. He is better than Pekarcik IMO.

I agree. Stancl is level above Pekarcik to me. He actually carried himself today in the same manner that Bolduc carried himself during prospect camp last year. Not saying anything about their playing style. I am talking about their confidence level compared to the other prospects. That stood out as much as the higher skill level. Same with Lindstein for me. I'm disappointed that Stenberg isn't at this camp.

I went last year and if you remember correctly I said that Dvorsky looked good but small compared to the real roster and that he should start the season in the minors.

One other take ... the russian dman Koromyslov looked very comfortable today. I would have placed him behind only Lindstein as far as confidence level for the dmen. All 3 russians looked good to me. That little 5th rounder they just drafted won't get pushed around. He's feisty.

Thanks for all the updates fellas. I’m out of town, but going to make it up there on Wednesday. One of my favorite events every year.

I watched so many of his 11-0 and 10-1 blowouts to the bitter end this year. I watched the vast majority of his shifts the second half of his season including ones in Springfield. His best game was against Prince George immediately upon returning from leading his team to bronze. He was soaring with confidence and he went 3+2 for a five point night.

But that same morning, they fired their coach and promoted the assistant. So the new coach, plus them trading Andrew Cristall to Spokane to play with Catton (which was quite a thing) plus trading Price off the back end and having Tij Iginla out all season really crippled them. It all added up to disaster and the whole team would just implode for long stretches. They had two goal leads in the third a handful of times and blew every last one of them losing them all. Stancl had zero help. Occasionally he'd have Hayden Paupenekis who is likely to be an NHL 4C for someone (Montreal got a tidy 3d round pick there). Horrific goaltending, horrible defense. They are the Memorial Cup hosts this coming year (they were supposed to host in 2020 then everything shut down, so they got this one) and they lost 24 of 26 to close the season. At least they should have Iginla back next season.

All that is to say about Stancl amid all of this was he would try. He would feather nice passes. He took a ton of shots, the most on his team. But his confidence was slowly ebbing as the losses piled up, you could see it. He was just not moving with the same drive that he had in the WJC. I counted down to his last game March 23 so he could join Springfield and demonstrate his skating improvement (which he did). The knock on Stancl is he's supposed to be an incredible all around player who can't skate. I have claimed that if he got a Backes type skating leap in him (few do) he'd shoot like a bullet to the top of our prospect list. A fast Stancl would be a serious problem for teams. A fast Stancl is a first line NHL winger with size, power, determination, great shot off the rush. It's all about his skating for me. I will say he needs to work on faceoffs if he's going to be a center. He was lining up at center when I saw him live against Seattle (they won and he scored, pushed Mrtka around) but then he was at wing from there forward including when he came to Seattle in February. The thing to watch with Stancl is his skating. Glad to hear reports that he looks confident because when he is, look out.

He scored the first 2 goals in the 3 on 3 scrimmage today. His team ended up winning 6-0. He carried himself like the captain.

Can’t really argue against that. I thought his play was top notch and his skating wasn't far behind.

Carbonneau is the resl deal. Scored a singlehanded goal in 3on3. Happened to be standing by his mom and dad when he scored. I welcomed them to St Louis. Great day.

Perfect chip shot into the top of the right corner. Goalie never stood a chance.

Good job not telling them their son is worthless since he’s not a top-5 pick..
