Anyone at the Development Camp?

Post by sneptsmoustache »

Sure could use some updates to distract from all the Kyrou rumors!! Let's hear the hot takes, who stands out, who's put on some muscle, etc!

I was there. Great time as usual. I even talked to Armstrong and told him good luck tomorrow.

My thoughts:

Lindstein looked great, crisp passing and always made the right decision. No one got around him. No one.

Fyadorov is a spunky a hole you would hate to play against. Fun to watch.

Carboneau looked out of sorts and fumbled the puck quite a bit.

Stancl looked great and had some slick goals.

Pecarcik is a player, great along the boards and won every battle.

Mrsic has a hell of a wrist shot.

Dear Lord, Carbonneau is a bust! (Just wanted to be first!)

Thanks for the update…..I’m planning on going tomorrow or Wednesday. Hoping to see Pete in his “leathers”!

Well might as well package him, the other bust Jiříček, and the 70 point guy nobody wants in Kyrou and see if we can get a 4th line Center for them.

Can they package Jiricek, Carbonneau and Kyrou for Adam Creighton? Creighton is sooo good along the boards and his own zone i mean he tries so hard and is great in the 'room.

For some reason, I feel the same way about Stancl - I just have a hunch. His reach, his performance at the WJC, etc. Might need a couple/few more years in the oak barrel, but I can see him turning into a solid NHLer.

And he's very tall, which is nice.

Agree with all of this, my only addition would be that Ralph got caught a few times cheating on his pinch then got out skated on the breakout which lead to some tough saves/goals for it only being 15 minutes of 3v3.

I thought Broberg’s brother had a very similar style to his brother. Had a few good plays and probably took at least a holding penalty in a normal game during the 3v3.

Stancl is just always in the right spot, I would be shocked if can’t find NHL time at some point. He was fun to watch last summer as well.

I hated that phrase for years after he left.

I agree with this. Lindstein is going to be a top 4 dman. He's impressive.
One thing that I did not expect was the '23 7th rounder Suseyev. He sure doesn't look like a late round player. Great skater with speed and skill.
Stancl and Lindstein look the furthest along to me.

Agree. Where were you sitting. The wife and I sat center ice on the PB side.
