As the Melancholy Dane would exclaim-

Aye! There’s the rub!

I won’t risk five years of gutless playoffs on that… hope, though.

As I said directly to larueskee, that is a chance that is not worth taking, in my opinion.
Mr. Armstrong definitely seems to agree.
Would you call him a troll?

Careful, you might learn something.

Funny thing is there's absolutely no indication Armstrong has solicited offers for him.

Someone connected that the NTC kicks in and started putting him in rumors. I don't doubt calls have come in but it absolutely isn't a lock that we've made it known to the league that he's available.

All of which is to say it is not possible to infer what the rest of the league thinks his value is. Doing so based on internet rumors and speculation is nonsense.

But if you have an agenda, you absolutely can infer [nonsense] like "how the rest of the league views him" based on things not one person here knows about.

Come on….

Do you think all this chatter and rumors from EVERY Reputable ( and disreputable) blogger are for nothing?

Where there is smoke there is fire.
Armstrong will trade Kyrou if it is possible and the deal is “fair”. Knowing Alexander Steen is in the wings, I will speculate that he is lobbying to lower the value of “fair” so it can be achieved by midnight Eastern Time.

If the other GMs won’t give up good assets for a player who gives Evan Bouchard a solid run for pimhead of the NHL, we are stuck with him.

THEN, and only then, do we pray for the helping hand of Holloway, and I have stated that clearly a dozen goddanged times.

It might do you well to listen to some canadian radio. Calgary 960 talks a TON of hockey. Had Friedman on today .. Seravelli last Friday. Both are very well connected journalists and both have been reporting that Kyrou is being shopped and will be moved "for the right deal".

Again, we're talking reputable journalists - NOT some bloggers and fan boys.

It might do you well to also ponder what your GM said in early February. He said that it is time to change out the roster pieces that have been here the longest because things aren't changing. If Army wasn't referring to Kyrou, who was he talking about?

It’s amazing how people can put the entire series loss on one guy, and one of our best players at that.

Kyrou 1 goal, +1 but man does he suck....scoring 1:10 seconds on the road in the biggest game of the year.
Anybody that has ever played in the NHL including goons could've scored that goal - Hellebuck was way out of position.
Except Kyrou was the only Blues top 6 to score a goal in the biggest game of the year. I know move the goalposts, you say he doesnt score in the playoffs, i say 10gs in his last 19, then its he doesnt get assists, then the game 7 goal isnt pretty enough... blah, blah, blah. tiresome

The not pretty enough cracks me up. As I’ve said before, at the end of the day they don’t ask how, just how many

ASOGG-
When Army was talking about changing out pieces in early February, it was much more than JUST KYROU.
No doubt also referring to Buch, Schenn & Faulk among others.

True and all 3 have their staunch defenders who claim that to trade any of them last off-season or at this past deadline would be tantamount to tanking.

This team may win a Cup in the next 2 years but everything and I mean everything has to go right for that to happen. That includes no significant fall off from any of the older players and significant improvement from all the youngsters with Holloway being the exception. If he performs at the same level it doesn't hurt us.

If we don't win one and trade off some of the vets afterwards we can probably get enough in return to open a longer window with higher odds.

It will be exciting to watch.
