So Kyrou is Tarasenko now

Post by theograce »

In terms of situations. There’s differences…but the story is the same. Value is lower than what we will accept.

Not ideal. Here’s to hoping he has a great year

I reject the premise. What percent of NHL players have been traded this offseason? How many players were reportedly discussed that were and were not traded? Part of a GM's job is kicking the tires.

I take Tarasenko's prime over Kyrou's prime all day long though. And Tarasenko's first six years in the league all day long over Kyrou's first six. Kyrou made a huge mistake in the LA game the Blues should have won Jan 2019 and Berube never put him in another minute of the season after that (when they began winning hard the next game) so I consider 19-20 his first real year. This isn't even something I take a pause to consider, it's an easy call.

Whether you care to think about it or not the issues with management were very real and very public. It’s one little gossip community in the nhl. They all talk. Berube talks to Tocchet every day. On and on

Plus there questions about his utility given his salary. His value appears to be low right now. I said I thought it would be before. It’s what makes sense.

Tarasenko was on another level in his prime - unstoppable at times...

Speaking of Vladdy, he's back in the Central.
Just traded to the Wild for FC's.

Every single game! He was haunted by Vlad's shot.

Does he have enough left in the tank to play with Kaprizov?

Cam Talbot is still reliving the nightmare that was Tarasenko's goal against the Rags.

One of the top five goals in Blues' history imo...

Thats not really what I see at all, the names I'm seeing offered/rumored are IMO pretty high. Maybe people are comparing his value to higher value positions?

Me either. Appreciate your opinion.

What's known is that he hasn't been moved and just about nothing else. The rest is speculation and rumors and zero facts.
