in the 9th inning of Friday night's game, Cedar Prieto pulled his hamstring running out an infield dribbler. He left the game, and didn't play again the rest of the series. It looked really bad, but looks can be deceiving sometimes, but let's assume he's out for a while. With Fermin in St. Louis, Memphis now relies on Brody Moore, catcher Zach Collins, and OF Bryan Torres to man 3B/SS/2B.

What I'm saying is...there's room and a BIG reason to promote JJ. Look for the Minor League Transactions, that usually pop up on Monday and Tuesday, to see if he does get promoted. Alternatively, St. Louis could promote a Mendoza or Rivas.

Perfect, they should promote JJ then. He’s ready, might as well do it this week. Begins a new month in a new home.

Btw, I looked at Prieto’s box score, looks like it was Saturday night that he was pulled. And given yesterday he may have just been given the day off as precaution. Or maybe it will be a reason to call up JJ.

This isn't a Burleson thread as bad as you want it to be
And I guess it's not a Church and Donovan thread either. It's Cardinals baseball discussion, dip.
