I'm 43 and nowhere close to retiring. In fact, I'm not sure I'll ever retire. i don't have a ton of hobbies outside of work and hanging with my kids. I'm on here intermittently most days. Heavier interaction around the trade-deadline, beginning of the season, playoffs, etc. It's nice to be surrounded by those with such lengthy life experience. Happy Birthday, OldRed

Retired. Check in several times per day to get scuttlebut from the local fans. Dont hear much otherwise on east coast.

I'll be 54 next month so I'm still working. I mostly read and post during the week while I'm at work. I'm a postal employee and I did 4 years in the Army before that. I enjoy the insight from most posters on the forum. With the exception of a few Jackasses on here, I think most everyone is pretty cool. Have a great day folks!

Yes, Happy Birthday, OldRed!OldRed wrote: ↑30 Jun 2025 08:22 am I will be 80 next Sunday and have been retired 18 years. I'm usually on CT in the morning while drink my coffee. Then I'm in and out of the house all day, like today mowing and trying to keep caught up on gardening and yard work. Strange year so far with all the rain we have gotten.
I'm 64 and retired 16 months ago. I check Cards Talk several times a day as I often get breaking news about the Cardinals here first, thanks to you all.

I barely have him beat, I am 39, turn 40 in August this year. I check in daily usually as I work from home. Hope to retire in 15-20 years.sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑30 Jun 2025 08:35 amNo offense but you are young. So much of life ahead. Do you realize the average poster you talk to is about 30 years your senior. That’s wild.Adam2 wrote: ↑30 Jun 2025 08:31 amagree with you on this. It's no fun to post something and someone respond 2 days later when i've already forgotten what i wanted to discuss.sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑30 Jun 2025 08:23 amAnother thought. I’m on CT when the board is loaded with its premier actors, yourself included. It’s much funner to socialize with a larger population. In addition, like ur self, the chatter is awesome.
Im 41 years old and i remember the thread about posters age. I believe i was youngest or second youngest
And yes, you may be the pup of the forum- ha.

I'm 70, retired in 2017 only to go back two months later. Retired again August 2020 and moved from Memphis to the hills of NE Georgia. I check in during morning coffee and again usually after a game.

Not retired. Check in on the computer at work every few hours. Check in a lot on the phone if I am waiting lines somewhere. Get most of the cards information about trade rumors on here during the offseason and toward the deadline

I watched that game. Our Principal let us watch all the weekday day games. 64,67,68. Retired 5 years ago. Soon to be 70. Seldom post. My mouth has gotten me kicked off all the other Card forums. This one too about 10 yrs ago.Hoosier59 wrote: ↑30 Jun 2025 08:43 am I’ve been retired for 4 years, I went at 62. I check in at different times. My 3rd grade teacher was a Cardinal fan and she let us watch a World Series game during class time. I believe it was the game in which Bob Gibson pitched and also hit a grand slam. I’ve been hooked ever since! Lou Brock Is still my all-time favorite player.

71. I check in at least once a day, more often when Cards are winning. I've checked Reddit/Stlcardinals and it's surprisingly not very active. The posters there say that's because of the Nazi moderators who shoot down so many new postings.
Re: How Many of You Here on Cards Talk are Retired?
Very interesting that the overwhelming percentage of people responding on this forum are 60+ years old.
I guess that is just due to the nature of how the younger crowd consumes it's media

Retired 2019. 69 years old. I check 3 or 4 times a day depending on what I’m doing or how long my nap is.

Gibson never hit a grand slam in a World Series game.Hoosier59 wrote: ↑30 Jun 2025 08:43 am I’ve been retired for 4 years, I went at 62. I check in at different times.
