I can't recall who, but it was actually reported that Buffalo wanted a right handed Dman for Byram, and they could not get it, so they pivoted and got a right handed dman in the Peterka trade. Only right hand dman the Blues have that is better than Kesselring is Parayko and they weren't moving him. Faulk (who still has a full NTC until July 1st) and Kessel where the other options and they both suck. Jiriceck is too young to step right into their lineup.DoneLurking wrote: ↑30 Jun 2025 07:55 amTo be fair, we really don't know. For instance, we don't know if the Islanders would have accepted a Kyrou for Dobson swap because Dobson didn't want to leave the Eastern Conference.ZouMiz2424 wrote: ↑30 Jun 2025 07:41 am Yet people on this board get on their knees for a guy with 13 pts in 28 career playoff games, who disappears anytime something gets physical.
Still hope Army can pull some sort of magic today and get this done so we aren’t stuck for 6 years.
We don't know if Buffalo was interested in getting younger or adding on defense, or if the Blues asked for more than just Peterka.

Don't tell us. Tell Army. He's the one trying to trade Kyrou because "things aren't changing".b-a-a-a-rclay wrote: ↑30 Jun 2025 08:23 am 27 year old led the team in goals (again) and in plus/minus and someone is acting like it's a bad thing to have him locked into a very reasonable contract for 5 more years. If he's trying to trade him, it's because he is looking for something of value and he knows that Kyrou has value. It's not complicated. We have a lot of wings. We need a center.a smell of green grass wrote: ↑30 Jun 2025 08:34 amDon't tell us. Tell Army. Folks, I'm here to tell you that we now possess a "Hellenbuyck at Winger". The guy that blows up at the worst times.
Just like Winnipeg could not get great value for Hellenbuyck, the Blues will not get great value for Kryou.
Throw a big kiss to getting into the playoffs this year. It told the league all about Kyrou.
My suggestion...
Strap in for 5 more years of Hellenbuyck at Winger. We ain't getting rid of Kyrou.
Strap in indeed.
However, I am the exact opposite of Kyrou. Kyrou disappears when it matters most. I, on the other hand, can be counted on to relentlessly hard-charge up the ice to score truth against the toughest defense in the league, the Army Mom's.

Possibly. But the Kyrou camera has been broken since early February, and some people are using it like it still works.

Netboy65, I can see you're really passionate about Kyrou, and I respect that—everyone has their favorite player. But why can't people share their opinions without being attacked?netboy65 wrote: ↑30 Jun 2025 08:20 amNow you know how we feel trying to get rid of you.a smell of green grass wrote: ↑30 Jun 2025 08:07 am Oh, and 1 more BIG REASON why Kyrou can not be moved.

In the 2024–2025 NHL season, 25 players scored over 35 goals—that's pretty impressive. But if Armstrong is trying to move Kyrou, and we just don’t know about it, and teams still aren’t biting on a top-25 goal scorer… come on, what’s there really to argue? At the end of the day, we may never know the full story.

I gotta quit drinking coffee before reading your posts man. Rofl.George Zipp wrote: ↑30 Jun 2025 08:00 am For sure. When Army isn't busy handing down memos with marching orders that the team only win in March and April to avoid picking in the top five he then mostly spends most of his free time openly discussing all trade offers coming in. These convos usually take place at OB Clarks with Strick and JR in person and Friedman, Serevilli and the guys from Sirius NHL Morning Skate on Zoom. If you sit at the right spot at the bar you can actually overhear the meetings.
Good thread otherwise.

Are the Blues getting a decent offers for Thomas? No? Must mean he's garbage. . . it's the only logical conclusion. There can't possibly be ANY other explanation.

You haven’t even registered a shot on goal, yet less scored anything.a smell of green grass wrote: ↑30 Jun 2025 08:31 amFunny.netboy65 wrote: ↑30 Jun 2025 08:20 amNow you know how we feel trying to get rid of you.a smell of green grass wrote: ↑30 Jun 2025 08:07 am Oh, and 1 more BIG REASON why Kyrou can not be moved.

That most likely involved Byram as well.noted wrote: ↑30 Jun 2025 08:24 amHe also said he wasn’t sure what else was on Buffalo’s side. Kyrou is great. If he stays great. If he goes-get something great in return.

You could be correct. I'm not saying that Kyrou has no value.b-a-a-a-rclay wrote: ↑30 Jun 2025 08:43 amIf he's trying to trade him, it's because he is looking for something of value and he knows that Kyrou has value. However, you are completely ignoring the fact that the GM said in early February that things aren't changing. I think that it is beyond clear now that he was refering to Kyrou. If not Kyrou, then at whom was Army's barrel pointed?
It could be that Army knows that Kryou is not moving with 5 more years on his deal, and he wants to send Kyrou a message about his value across the NHL. Maybe Kyrou just needs a helmet adjustment.
