Not getting any decent offers for Kyrou shows how the rest of the league views him
Yet people on this board get on their knees for a guy with 13 pts in 28 career playoff games, who disappears anytime something gets physical.
Still hope Army can pull some sort of magic today and get this done so we aren’t stuck for 6 years.

They might be getting decent offers but they are looking for either a center or RD which almost every team in the league could use the same upgrade.

Seravalli said the Sabres turned down a Kyrou deal for Peterka before trading him for Doan and Kesselring. That’s a bit of an eye opener for sure

Neat. Let’s start ANOTHER thread on the subject

Re: Not getting any decent offers for Kyrou shows how the rest of the league views him
Are they required to report on all offers received or that they have made to another team?
Or are they only required when an actual deal is finalized and agreed upon?

To be fair, we really don't know. For instance, we don't know if the Islanders would have accepted a Kyrou for Dobson swap because Dobson didn't want to leave the Eastern Conference.ZouMiz2424 wrote: ↑30 Jun 2025 07:41 am Yet people on this board get on their knees for a guy with 13 pts in 28 career playoff games, who disappears anytime something gets physical.

We don't know if Buffalo was interested in getting younger or adding on defense, or if the Blues asked for more than just Peterka.

I expected that it would be very hard to deal Kyrou.
Remember in early February when Army blew a gasket and said essentially that "we've changed everything except our most senior players and nothing is changing..."?
At the time, that likely meant Kyrou, but no one knew for sure. Fast forward to now, and Army is trying to trade Kyrou (per the rumors).
Army has been trying since February to trade Kyrou, and has not been able to get it done!!! Army does not want 5 more years of the early February blues.
However, I don't believe that it is completely accurate to say that it is a reflection on Kyrou. I would say more that it is a reflection on Army. Kryou has a 5-year deal remaining. What team wants to "take a BIG RISK on an iffy player" for 5 years?!!!
Blame Army for not being able to trade Kyrou, not Kyrou. If Kryou had 2 years left on his deal, he would have been gone in February.

I love it when people use playoff numbers from players when they were younger than most player even make the NHL to make them look bad.
He had 1 point in 9 playoff games when he was 21-22 and has since scored 10 playoff goals in 19 games which is a 43 goal pace.....teams are not looking at and don't care what he did when he was 21 years old.

For sure. When Army isn't busy handing down memos with marching orders that the team only win in March and April to avoid picking in the top five he then mostly spends most of his free time openly discussing all trade offers coming in. These convos usually take place at OB Clarks with Strick and JR in person and Friedman, Serevilli and the guys from Sirius NHL Morning Skate on Zoom. If you sit at the right spot at the bar you can actually overhear the meetings.
Good thread otherwise.

Lol, Kyrou has 10gs and 2 assists in his last 19 playoff gamesZouMiz2424 wrote: ↑30 Jun 2025 07:41 am Yet people on this board get on their knees for a guy with 13 pts in 28 career playoff games, who disappears anytime something gets physical.

Oh, and 1 more BIG REASON why Kyrou can not be moved.
Folks, I'm here to tell you that we now possess a "Hellenbuyck at Winger". The guy that blows up at the worst times.
Just like Winnipeg could not get great value for Hellenbuyck, the Blues will not get great value for Kryou.
Throw a big kiss to getting into the playoffs this year. It told the league all about Kyrou.
My suggestion...
Strap in for 5 more years of Hellenbuyck at Winger. We ain't getting rid of Kyrou.

27 year old led the team in goals (again) and in plus/minus and someone is acting like it's a bad thing to have him locked into a very reasonable contract for 5 more years. Wow.

He also said he wasn’t sure what else was on Buffalo’s side. It wasn’t 1 for 1.Pierre McGuire wrote: ↑30 Jun 2025 07:46 am Seravalli said the Sabres turned down a Kyrou deal for Peterka before trading him for Doan and Kesselring. That’s a bit of an eye opener for sure

However, I am the exact opposite of Kyrou. Kyrou disappears when it matters most. I, on the other hand, can be counted on to relentlessly hard-charge up the ice to score truth against the toughest defense in the league, the Army Mom's.
