Blues on Tuesday
Curious what would be everyone’s best case scenario for the Blues on Tuesday and what would be your nightmare scenario.
Curious what realistic transaction(s) you feel the Blues should do to get to the next level. Then the other side was panic move do you fear they will do?

Re: Blues on Tuesday
the only bad thing I could see is maybe a little desperation sets in and we overpay for a mediocre add.Stlcardsblues wrote: ↑29 Jun 2025 17:14 pm Curious what would be everyone’s best case scenario for the Blues on Tuesday and what would be your nightmare scenario.

By that I mean something like 3/6.5 for a Granlund.
That would be a desperation move.

I don’t see much of anything happening Tuesday. Army will make a move once the dust settlesStlcardsblues wrote: ↑29 Jun 2025 17:14 pm Curious what would be everyone’s best case scenario for the Blues on Tuesday and what would be your nightmare scenario.

Re: Blues on Tuesday
I trust Army. He's been a great GM for us. The signing of Holloway and Broberg really sped up our turnaround. Each of the teams around us are making things happen. We have a couple of holes to fill and we have the assets to do it. I don't want to do something reckless. Kyrou is a great player and will be hard to replace. If we do trade him, or sign a free agent, I hope we don't block the path of our younger players, or make a move that doesn't really make a difference.
Re: Blues on Tuesday
Best case: we resign Faska and add a Pius Suter or Christian Dvorak or trade for a middle 6 center.
Worst Case: We trade for Elias Peterson or somebody similar.

I would trade prospects for a legit center...whatever it takes. The window is only open as long as Binnington is a Blue.

Re: Blues on Tuesday
I hope they extend Hofer for a couple years and draft Carbonneau. Oh what?
I trust them to not do anything bad on tuesday. Don't overpay for anybody and I'm good with it. I would like to see them trade a roster guy that doesn't fit into an important role in the next 2 years. Leddy-ish type of trade.

Christian Dvorak and Perbix. They will bow out on Granlund. Leddy traded with a sweetener.
Re: Blues on Tuesday
This is true but good news is Binner will remain a Blue and he will age like fine wine.BalotelliMassive wrote: ↑29 Jun 2025 18:52 pm I would trade prospects for a legit center...whatever it takes. The window is only open as long as Binnington is a Blue.
JB is not a concerning issue for the Blues.

Re: Blues on Tuesday
Best Case:
Kryou is traded for a young prospect 2C and a Round 1 pick next year. I know that this potentially blocks Dvorsky, but I think that they should create competition at the 2C position and create depth.
Faksa and Fowler signed.
Worst Case:
Kyrou is retained, and he creates bad karma in the locker-room for 5 years.
Faksa and Fowler signed by some other team.

Sorry, but they won’t get that for Kyrou.a smell of green grass wrote: ↑29 Jun 2025 20:05 pm Best Case:

They won’t get a 2C and a 1st rounder.
If Kyrou is dealt, my money is on him going to the Kraken.

Re: Blues on Tuesday
While I would NOT trade a 2C and 1st rounder for Kyrou, I do think that it is possible. It would have to be to a team looking to win next year, and having too many prospect 2cs. I do believe that a change of scenery would help Kryou and help his production. He needs to get the message to put on his big boy pants. He's has the tools, just not the will.Bubble4427 wrote: ↑29 Jun 2025 20:09 pmSorry, but they won’t get that for Kyrou.a smell of green grass wrote: ↑29 Jun 2025 20:05 pm Best Case:

Re: Blues on Tuesday
If Ekblad makes it to UFA, I’d be very interested

Never understood the "blocked" thinking. If Dvorsky was ready, he'll have a spot to play.a smell of green grass wrote: ↑29 Jun 2025 20:05 pm Best Case:

Re: Blues on Tuesday
Any deal involving Kyrou would be a disaster scenario. He put up a fabulous 2024-2025 season, and lead the a blues in +/- and scored 10 more goals than anyone else on the team. He is far more valuable to the Blues than what we would get as compensation. Looking forward to him and Holloway back together as that line carried the Blues for a month.
