Petro out for the season..
I’m hearing Vegas defenceman Alex Pietrangelo is dealing with serious injuries and is going to require multiple major surgeries this summer, which will result in missing the entire 2025-26 season, at least.

I haven’t really paid attention to Vegas, what’s going on with him?Unfathomable wrote: ↑29 Jun 2025 15:06 pm I’m hearing Vegas defenceman Alex Pietrangelo is dealing with serious injuries and is going to require multiple major surgeries this summer, which will result in missing the entire 2025-26 season, at least.

Re: Petro out for the season..
He has a bruised spleen and a fractured Mitch Marner. Could they be any more obvious.
Anybody want to bet that he magically is ready to roll on April 11, 2026. I’ll give you 1000-1 odds.
The new CBA can’t come soon enough.

That’s how tough he is. Knew he couldn’t give it his all for Team Canada. Gave everything he could in the playoffs and was still one of their best players.

Now he may very well be seriously injured.
However, they made sure to announce this right before it is very likely that they acquire the rights to Marner.
It's awful convenient.
Also, Friedmann is reporting that Toronto is very tempted to turn in Vegas for tampering charges, unless of course Vegas sweetens up the offer.
So Roy and a pick isn't going to do it evidently.

They should not get the benefit of the doubt from anyone. They haven’t played in what two months. Just now figuring this out? I know I’m a snarky cynical goof but this is ridiculous.TheJackBurton wrote: ↑29 Jun 2025 15:24 pm Now he may very well be seriously injured.

I’ll gladly jump on and apologize if he has to retire or doesn’t magically suit up game 1 next April. Not very worried about it.

Yeah he pulled out from Team Canada because he knew it would look good for taking next season off to try and get another player.TheJackBurton wrote: ↑29 Jun 2025 15:24 pm Now he may very well be seriously injured.

Petro chose to skip playing for his country…end of story.
He was back playing for Vegas the first game after 4 nations.
Your hero is a paper tiger.
Deciding what players you trash and the ones you worship is comical.
Trash Buch for icing the puck….but NO ONE ever iced the puck more than Petro in the final minute of a game.
Weird.

“Needs multiple surgeries this summer” but hasn’t had them yet. I try to not be a conspiracy theorist but Vegas doesn’t get the benefit of the doubt anymore. First thing that came to mind is that they’re delaying the surgeries do delay the recovery date to oh…let’s say approx April 15th.
I’m assuming the new LTIR fix doesn’t go into effect until the new CBA so my guess is Vegas is attempting to exploit the loophole one last time.

Without a doubt. If there is absolutely a team that doesn't get any benefit of the doubt it's them.George Zipp wrote: ↑29 Jun 2025 15:27 pmThey should not get the benefit of the doubt from anyone. Well at least this saves Stone the humility of having to fake a blistered vagina in late march that will keep him out for 12 weeks.

Army regrets that things didn't work out, but if the circumstances were the same, he would do it again.
That’s what makes Army one of the best.

Probably scared himself into an injury after reading Jamie Benn signed up for another year…
I imagine rest of the league would at certain moment object to this annual Vegas shithousery…
