Thoughts on Kirby Dach rumors
Kirby Dach+ is rumored to be a possible trade with Montreal for Kyrou. He would become our 2C. He’s injury prone. Thoughts?

Matheson is 31 and shoots left. Would that make any sense? Haven’t there also been rumors about Reinbacher, who’s 20 and a righty?
Re: Thoughts on Kirby Dach rumors
Isn't Matheson a Lefty? Why would we do that?
Re: Thoughts on Kirby Dach rumors
Sounds like a Montreal fan rumor.

Doesn’t make any sense but that was the rumor I saw. I think it’s wishful thinking from Hans fansSmith2Herr wrote: ↑28 Jun 2025 21:28 pmMatheson is 31 and shoots left. Would that make any sense? Haven’t there also been rumors about Reinbacher, who’s 20 and a righty?

I think the Blues should trade Kyrou. If the Blues traded Kyrou for that, the entire front office should be fired
Re: Thoughts on Kirby Dach rumors
How does Dach plus Reinbacher sound?
Re: Thoughts on Kirby Dach rumors
If they could move Leddy, it could work. Think of it as Matheson playing in Suter's role. He only has one year left on his contract at $4.875, so it's a stop gap unless they want to sign him another deal.. You then have Kessel and Tucker in the 6 and 7 dman role.Pierre McGuire wrote: ↑28 Jun 2025 21:41 pmDoesn’t make any sense but that was the rumor I saw. Kirby Dach could be a good get, but he's now had two surgeries on his right knee. So maybe to offset the risk is Reinbacher, who would be a very nice pick up for a long-term RHD.
That deal has legs IMO. At least as a starting point.

Re: Thoughts on Kirby Dach rumors
Montreal really doesn't have anything that would make me want to move Kyrou that i think they'd reasonably consider.
I don't mind bringing Dach on board... but for Joseph or Texier, and maybe moving a someone in our depth chart of winger prospects thats maybe 4th or 5th best of the bunch. He clearly has not lived up to the expectations, i've got no interest in paying anything close to what they paid to get him originally. I am willing to take a flyer on him.

I don’t think this is a real rumor. I’d take a flyer on Dach but not give up legit assets for him. We have no use for Matheson at all. If there was any legitimacy to it, the rumor would have to involve Mailloux or Reinbacher headed our way.

Reinbacher would have to be included in the deal. That would feel a little like Shananan for Pronger part 2…albeit a much lesser version of it.somni wrote: ↑28 Jun 2025 21:51 pmIf they could move Leddy, it could work.
