Fried chicken places:

I tried to go to Hobos yesterday where I was going to get their fried chicken, but, ended up at Ruby Tuesdays. Hobos is my favorite fried chicken place around the St. Louis metro. I haven't tried the Chicken Coop yet.

I had Kroger's double breaded fried chicken which was quite good a week ago from Troy, Mo. $2 cheaper than Schnucks. Hodak's is Hodak's.

The best I ever had was Harold's Chicken Shak which had 2 places in the Metro East. The best fried chicken meal is at the Giant City Lodge.

I'm told to try the Smokehouse half chicken at Church's with none in my county.

Happy eating.

My favorite chicken tacos is at Barrelhouse Taphouse. My favorite street tacos of which they have ~6 types is Beto's King Burrito on old 94. Tacospot, a chain that just arrived from Arizona, has $2 street tacos that are ok. Abelardos, another recent chain has 5 tacos, hard, soft and fried, near Cave Springs and 70. Salted Lime has street taco deals on Tuesday.

Someone mentioned to try .99 tacos at Hardee's on Tuesday. $1 tacos when Cards score 8 runs the day before at Hotshots.
Lol! I appreciate your recommendations. Wish I still lived in the area. Great baseball discussion.

I'm trying to feed the troll. I've eaten at 1000s of restaurants. I have a couple of friends that I can discuss the restaurants I have visited.

Dierburghs 8pc fried. Only reason I walk in that store. Except they do have a mixed Entemans doughnut deal 8pcs. Up against the far wall with the bread and stuff. I always pick those up and eat 1/2 of everything than have it all again the next day.

I hate to go off-topic with your post but I recall you mentioning non-Lent Friday fish frys. Is that just a St. Louis thing? The places I've lived only advertise those during Lent.

Roby will have much success if he can stay healthy - he has the stuff.

The finest fried chicken I have ever eaten at a restaurant was at Castelli's Moonlight in Fosterburg, IL.

He doesn’t care about Roby. The taco talk derailed and hijacked his mock thread and he ran off. He despises diversion. Good job taco guy.
