Halfway All Decade Team

With the draft upcoming tonight, and we are directly in the middle of the 2020 decade, who do we as Blues fans feel like are the list of all decade players for the Blues. I think 10 should be the max for when the thing ends, but we can fill it up to 10 if you feel so inclined as of today. And then who do you think might make it when it's all said and done?

I'll get it started and post why's.

1. Jordan Binnington - Tho he has been up and down, he's a huge catalyst for the playoff run during the Avs series and might have been a reason why we would have been a cup contender if he didn't get hurt. Still has some left in the tank as we saw the last couple seasons.
2. Robert Thomas - He is undoubtedly the best chance that we have at a superstar and is finally turning national media heads
3. Pavel Buchnevich - Since we acquired him, you could make the argument he is the best blues forward. Down year last year and was still productive
4. Colton Paryko - The last couple seasons he has turned into the player we all thought he was. He was a top 10 defender all around this year and was somewhere in the top 15ish last year from a shutdown standpoint
5. ROR - Tho his time got cut short, he was the best player on the team and an early captain for his few seasons to start the decade
6. Holloway - I think the Hollywood is going to end up being one of the best players of the decade when it's all said and done for the Blues. This season he get's his name thrown in the mix.
7. Neighbours - He is a Blue thru and thru. Some say he is captain material. He will be a main stay for the decade
8. Schenn - He is the captain. I hope he gets to finish that contract out. If we have success as a team, it will be largely due to his leadership
9. Kyrou - Low on the list but potential to be one of the best scorers this team has ever had. He can definitely make his way up this list but 1 good 2 way season keeps him down here
10. ------ This is where I will leave my list to the possibles

P1 - Fowler - we will see how long he gets to wear the note
P2 - Snuggy - Showed he can make some noise right out of the gate
P3 - Bolduc - Another guy that has some pizazz to his game. Back half the decade could be the Bolduc Decade

All of your players are currently on the team. Pietrangelo, Tarasenko, Backes, Bouwmeester, Perron, Demitra, Big Walt etc. I like the idea but 25 years is a lot to go off then list only players that are on this years team. And I agree with some but I wouldnt place buch, holloway neighbours fowler, snuggy or bolduc.

It's literally draft day and a very dynamic trade rumor day and that's the day for an absurd exercise?

Coming up with an all decade team halfway through the decade is literally worthless

That icing play was brutal, but he still is a very good player for the Blues. He's got 19 points in 19 playoff games with the Blues. It's hard to get mad at a guy who since putting on the note, has played very strong 2 way hockey. He was plus this playoffs, and has been a plus player every regular season since we acquired him. You can't really bad mad at that level of output when 2 of those years were non playoff years and he still managed to find his game.

well I view it as the future day for the Blues. I didn't have us making any trades and viewed the Kyrou stuff as uninformed talking heads throwing darts. Sure enough a hour ago Strickland said that the Blues are not actively shopping Kyrou and their camp expects to be a Blue. Doesn't mean people can't call but it's false that the Blues were the ones pushing that.

Sorry my post didn't line up with your schedule. July 1 is the real day the Blues become players. Until something else changes. Today is future day for the Blues. None of these guys are going to be factors into this decades Blues team. Halfway checkmarks are appropriate. We do it during the regular season. We can do it during the half decade.

Hofer with his extension might be the next long term Blues goalie. This will put him thru half the decade. Maybe he makes the all decade team.
