Prospects lost by Day's End. 2 Questions.
There is a good chance that Army deals away some of our prospects in order to fill the big holes in the lineup. I personally hope that we don't lose any, but that is life with Army as your GM.
So 2 questions...
1) Which prospect do you most want to keep?
2) Which prospect is most likely to go?
My answer: Snuggerud, Lindstein

Bolduc really impressed last season and State Farm is a just a classic Blue, so it is hard to say.
I think the answer is whoever the other team really wants that we have lol

Both Bolduc and Neighbors proved to be players the Jets ... and their fans ... positively hated. I can move other players before I move them.

I'm not sure we deal much away with Dobson off the board, RD is really the only thing I'd be looking to move significant pieces for.
I'd move secondary pieces for a stop gap 2c but IMO we really can't afford to move high value pieces without addressing our future defense.
Could be someting like a Nemec but I'm betting if they move him they want right now type pieces and we are really not a great match for that.

Neighbours is someone I want to be a career Blue and captain. Bolduc ... I do think he cleans up his ill-timed mistakes and this is a huge upcoming season for him. If he continues to flourish in Montgomery's system you've got a 30 goal scorer with some forechecking bite, and suddenly Kyrou is the 3d best forechecking RW in the top 9.

The problem with trading any of our skaters today is that our value pieces just create more holes. When we only really have 1 ABSOLUTE need and then a couple wants for this season. Next year is moving day. We have guys coming off UFA's and young guys to fill those holes. If we create more holes this year I see us creating more problems.skilles wrote: ↑27 Jun 2025 16:29 pm I'm not sure we deal much away with Dobson off the board, RD is really the only thing I'd be looking to move significant pieces for.

"Kyrou" and "forechecking" really don't belong in the same sentence...seattleblue wrote: ↑27 Jun 2025 16:50 pmNeighbours is someone I want to be a career Blue and captain. Bolduc ... ... or the same paragraph, for that matter.
For Bolduc being from the Q, he sure plays more like a kid from the Western League. As does Torpochenko. Those players win rounds for you.

I have a feeling that Doug will be moving bodies yet, and some of our prospects will likely be taken. Just a hunch, though. And it obviously depends on how badly other teams want to deal.skilles wrote: ↑27 Jun 2025 16:29 pm I'm not sure we deal much away with Dobson off the board, RD is really the only thing I'd be looking to move significant pieces for.

I hope Lindstein is not taken, but I have a bad feeling.

Growing up, people always told him he wasn’t going to make it. When asked what else he wanted to do … he always said nothing I’m making the NHL. People who know him talk about how hockey is everything to him. He’s a good story and sounds like a cool, grounded person.seattleblue wrote: ↑27 Jun 2025 16:50 pmNeighbours is someone I want to be a career Blue

When I read about how this kid learned sign language so that the impoverished, deaf single mother of his best friend would not be excluded from their conversations, I understood how really special he is and why he is always talked about as mature beyond his years. I have not settled on which jersey version but his is the next one I am getting. It's cool you have that connection. If you do interact with him tell him Blues fans respect the hell out of him.theograce wrote: ↑27 Jun 2025 17:05 pmGrowing up, people always told him he wasn’t going to make it. Will do. Might grab a lunch this summer with them. I didn’t like Jake as much before I started to hear more about him from this guy. I like when you’re not high on someone and that changes. Watching him on the bench was my favorite part of that series…He’s such a child in a good wayseattleblue wrote: ↑27 Jun 2025 17:13 pmWhen I read about how this kid learned sign language so that the impoverished, deaf single mother of his best friend would not be excluded from their conversations, I understood how really special he is and why he is always talked about as mature beyond his years. I would be shocked if Lindstein is moved, considering the age of our defensive core.
If we move a prospect or young player it’s likely one of our wingers.

I agree with you. However, what other team's want plays into it. I like Lindstein a lot, so I'm guessing other teams do as well.
Hopefully, we get to keep Lindstein. It would be great if we lost from surplus versus a D man.
