Fallout from Dobson trade

I'm wondering if Islanders will take one of the defenseman we were looking at now that they are picking in front of us. I know we will still get a good player regardless.

They're going to trade the 16th and 17th picks, along with a player, to Utah for the #4.

I agree they want Hagens pretty bad, seemingly. If the Blues had offered 19+Bolduc that's pretty close to what NYI got, but might be less able to convert to the pick to take Hagens as the board shapes up tonight

Yeah the buzz is that their owner is desperate to make a move up for Hagens. Gotta get the local kid I guess. Seems like his stock has fallen, too, which makes it seem like a weird play.

If I’m Utah I’m asking for the #16 and 17 and I’m also asking for their 2026 1st.

Agree with this. If they are going to move down from 4 to 16 & 17 (and miss out on their choice of Frondell/Desnoyers/Martone, etc), you make it hurt for NYI.
