Re: Buffalo
You know, it took two speedy mailmen on his wings to resurrect Schenn from the abyss of ES dysfunction last season. That line was highly effective, as ill-matched as it seemed on paper. Dropping Brayden down to 3C with fire hydrants (by comparison) might not be the best approach here. The Blues in theory can get much better as a team with a 200' upgrade at 3C that might be a lot less costly. Food for thought.

Re: Buffalo
Exactly Dawg as I previously posted some time ago. Why would you break up that line & not allow them a whole season together. Is it far-fetched to say that Schenn centering Kyrou & Hollloway was one of the best 2nd lines in the league the last third of the season?DawgDad wrote: ↑27 Jun 2025 15:03 pm You know, it took two speedy mailmen on his wings to resurrect Schenn from the abyss of ES dysfunction last season. I think 3C is what they're looking for & will try to re-sign Faksa to be their 4th line center, pushing Sunny to play a wing position or just a fill in role.

Re: Buffalo
People are way to caught up on which line is which. We would be a lot better with another top 6 c no matter which line schenn centers.
Re: Buffalo
This too. Scoring lines and a shut down checking line.
There was a time when your "Top" line always started the game, or period at even strength. Now our 4th line usually does. Nothing wrong with that. But the fixation on what numerical rank the line is called is almost pointless. We used to identify as the "Center's surname" line.
Re: Buffalo
It makes more sense when you are the Oilers etc. very top heavy teams trying to fill in around big superstar player but we are not that. What we have is almost 3 full line of top 6 forwards.Old_Goat wrote: ↑28 Jun 2025 06:32 amThis too. Scoring lines and a shut down checking line.

Bottom line is we have 6 wingers that need a top 6 center which means we need 3 top 6 centers to take advantage of what we have.
