Not much difference in drafting #1 or #5 in the upcoming MLB draft

Post by Shady »

Except saving some money. The Cardinals lucked out getting the #5 pick. They are also fortunate that there doesn't seem to be four players that will be a lot better than whomever is available for them at #5.

Honkey Tonk said we should re-draft Roby to make sure no one else can have him.

Very classy, scouty. Do you really think other posters like to read garbage like that?

Let's say Anderson, Holliday, Arnold and either Doyle or Arquette go before the Cardinals pick. That leaves, possibly, the best high school pitching prospect, Hernandez. And, possibly, the top high school hitting prospect, Willits.

I know, it's amazing....they get to pick baseball players.

Incredible math skills.

Scouty, among others, lack the discipline to ignore your posts.

Right now, realistically, it's 1) Arnold 2) Willits 3) Hernandez as possibilities at 5 for the Cardinals.
