Ehlers joining Marner in going to FA

Post by IsDurbanodoingtime »

According to Friedman, Ehlers is going to test the market. Does he get more than Kyrou? Does Boeser get more than Kyrou?

Wouldn't surprise me if they both get more given the rising cap, although I wouldn't want to do it. 8M is going to be the new 6M. Both good players, but somebody is going to miss out on Marner and back up a brinks truck for one of them.

The problem with Ehlers is the same with Kyrou...they disappear in the playoffs. Last season was the first time Ehlers actually showed up, so maybe he's a late bloomer. Someone will pay for him...he's a solid regular season player.

His (JK) last 2 play off years 12 pts in 19 games.

Hardly call that "disappears".

What if JK "blooms" more his mid years?

How'd he do this year? Did you watch the games?

I love Kyrou, but his 3 goals in 7 games were as meaningless as 3 playoff goals can be. Wasn't a difference maker with the game on the line.

Well apparently he and Thomas can't play together, and I have a hard time blaming Thomas for that. Rookie Snuggerudd with a handful of NHL games looked pretty good next to Thomas.
