She did have her own show on Comedy Central for 2 or 3 seasons.

The first one was pretty good overall, 2 and 3 though? She just kept recycling the exact same jokes over and over and things started falling flat.

Then she moved back in with her parents in Kirkwood.

Jokes about sex age like milk....that's usually all that the women comedians have for ammo.

I kid, I kid…….kind of. But you are absolutely right about women comedians. Someone mentioned that to me once and that made me start to pay attention to it. Now it’s just flat out bothersome! I agree, sex jokes just don’t really work for some reason. On the other hand, seeing Sam Kinison do his “homosexual necropheliacs” routine live was unforgettable. Comedy gold, I tell ya!

Kinison was one of a kind. When he did his bit about bringing people living in the desert to where all the food actually is I laughed so hard I would cry. "See this. This is sand. Nothing grows here. Nothing ever is going to grow here."

I get her allure. She's quite pretty, etc.

However, I always compare/contrast what is happening elsewhere.

A young prospect picked at 20 looks great--until you look at what was picked in the TOP5.

Nikki Glaser looks great--until you realize that other towns are celebrating hockey, not something else.

If we are talking hockey, Glaser doesn't look good at all.

I don't think I've ever seen her, or even heard of her. A bit of "this and Datt" trotted out on a draft show isn't so bad.

I'm getting a new white jersey--despite this [nonsense] maneuver--even though I have no idea what number to put on it. I'm trying to celebrate here.

IF I was going to buy a jersey I'd get a white one. This is a risky moment to invest unless you want a Thomas, Parayko, or Binnington model. Neighbours might still be trade fodder, though I doubt it. If Holloway extends that might be the way to go, otherwise you might want to wait a bit on Snuggerud or Bolduc. Tucker for the bruised knuckles crowd.

She's great and gorgeous. Seems really cool. Regular guest on Howard Stern. I saw her sing Have A Cigar with El Monstero at the Pageant a few years ago. I'm thinking the NHL probably is trying to have all teams line up a celebrity or semi celebrity to do this.

Couldn’t agree more. She’s my favorite comic right now. Some of her routines are devastatingly funny. She’ll be a welcome change from the usual stiffs — former players, ownership family members, etc. — we usually see on draft night. No surprise that a smell of green gas doesn’t get her allure.

SGG is going to blast everything the Blues do. They could have Hull announce the pick and SGG would post “why pick Hull, he won his cups elsewhere”.

When was the last time SGG posted anything which wasn’t a slam of the team and Armstrong?

It all about an attention grab with SGG nothing to do with true conversation on the Blues situation.

The idea of bringing Kroenke into it was further proof that they are trying to get under the skin of the board.

Side note SGG, I was never a Rams fan so the dig didn’t not impact me.

The NFL uses celebrities to announce draft picks. How many of them do fans remember made the pick the next day?

You are griping about a three minute item that will be forgotten by most hockey people the next day.

She had a reality show about moving back to St Louis. Don't think it lasted long. I'd guess it was as bad as the Busch family reality show.

Agree with this........once the shock value wears away it's just the same schtick. good for her for having some success and being a local gal but it's a little much to play the "i'm not attractive........now watch me be raunchy".

I don't think that the Blues could have killed the hype/interest about their jerseys any better than by associating themselves with Glaser.

She's skanky. I mean, I'd b*ne her still though, don't get me wrong. Probably a "3 hole wonder" as Jodi Arias would say!
