Remember the final reason that the Chicago Cubs finally erected lights at Wrigley? It's because MLB and the TV network partners told them if the Cubs made the postseason they'd have to move their home games to St. Louis, since they were NOT going to allow high-ratings playoff games to be played in midweek daylight. Wrigley had had lights ready in the early '40s but donated them to the war effort. Then, of course, being the Cubs, their ballyhooed first night game --- the very first batter, the Phils' Phil Bradley, homered --- was rained out in the 4th inning. :roll. The lesson was it was better to hurriedly mount those light towers than to even think about moving the Cubbies' October home games to St. Louis.
Now the Tampa Ray Rays, playing one season at a spring training park with only 10,000 seats, might face a similar fate if they make the postseason: https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/645176 ... ner-field/

Only if they make it to the ALCS per MLB
