I always get jacked up for every draft…mainly cause of the ol’ grass is greener over yander’ and gettin to picture the future while imagining our newly drafted players bein studs someday. Even tho the realistic side of me knows most of the draftees wont become stars or even role players, but some will, and hope springs eternal etc.

Yep, was hoping they could dump a player or two to recoup a couple picks, and theres still time to, but at least we know the Blues’ 2nd and 3rd picks went to great use.

I love the draft, I look forward to seeing where guys that I like go and love seeing all franchises add future players to their cupboard. I take a vacation day every year for draft day…great day for rumors and intrigue as well. As I tell my wife..the NHL is my soap opera.

Right on man, I moved to Phx area 5 years ago and met my wife and made her a Blues nut and now it’s something we do together!! Which is nice bcuz she loves Blues gear and that means usually both of us get new gear lol

Pretty funny. I would always take the day off for the trade deadline before I retired. Same reasons, just loved surfing and watching all the rumors and deals. Love the draft as well.

What time does it start? Will WXOS have live coverage? 2 years ago, they annoyingly went off the air right before Armstrong picked in the 1st round. Is ESPN only covering the 1st round again?

I’m happy for you guys, truly. I just find it hard to get excited for a guy I’m not going to see for 3-5 years. Same reason I never got excited for MLB draft either. NFL at least you see immediate impact.

I remember the excitement of having a TOP10 pick in 2023. It was very exciting to follow the mock drafts.

This year all of the best players will be going to other teams. That is sickening to watch. And then last year adding insult to injury, we selected Jiricek, the guy glued to the rehab office.

Sorry. I like to win Cups, and this day will be 20 steps backward for the Blues.

Unless there’s a trade made involving the first to bring a true 2C, you’re spot on. Zero interest this year.

Absolutely. Especially given the success Tony Feltrin & Co. have had.

The post-draft videos (especially the year we had three 1sts) were awesome to watch seeing we have an elite scouting staff.
