I soured on Kyrou til I saw he and Holloway buddy up and practice together and become quite a tandem.. much more dynamic than Thomas and Kyrou proved to be. 30+ goal scorers do not grow on trees.
I worry about Holloway after his injury if he’ll be able to play the same dynamic way, so I would not be in a hurry to break up the pair.
If we traded him for a defenseman, we lose out on his goal scoring and I am assuming he will not go back to his negative plus minus figures. I cross my fingers it’s not a poor assumption
We can also pick up Kyrou’s kid brother, a right handed defenseman for Dallas. This Kyrou is not afraid to go into the corners.

Peterka for Kesselring and Doan
Kane for a 4th
Zegras for Poehling, 2nd and 4th
Burakovsky for Veleno
Marchment for a 3rd and 4th
Kreider for a 3rd and Terrance
No chance in hell that I'd trade Kyrou in this market.
Wingers have absolutely no value right now.

A lot of those guys have little value to begin with. Kane can’t skate, zegras has very little value for multiple reasons, kreider is on his was to 35 and struggling, burakovsky is a 14 minute 35-40 point player

Kyrou for Dobson is the sort of deal i could see us doing.
All depends on extension and cost of that extension. If there is no extension, no deal, and if the extension is crazy numbers its a no too.
But converting Kyrou into a long term top 4 RHD makes sense.

The extension is why I don't think it takes Kyrou, if you think about it Dobson almost kind of has A no trade clause(or the same effect). All he has to do is not be willing to sign and he can have quite a bit of power kind of like MT.britishblue wrote: ↑26 Jun 2025 01:32 am Kyrou for Dobson is the sort of deal i could see us doing.

He could bring a good return if he just wants off the Island but if its money that is the problem who is going to give anywhere near that return for a player the Islanders have decided is not worth the money he wants?
I mean if the Islanders are thinking we don't think you are worth that money what are the chances we want to trade Kyrou for the rights to pay him that same money?

This. As noted by quite a few here, Dobson had a down season, are you going to trade kyrou and then accede to his 10 mill aav demand making him highest paid Blue? And then start. negotiations with Broberg (and Holloway)?skilles wrote: ↑26 Jun 2025 05:44 amThe extension is why I don't think it takes Kyrou, if you think about it Dobson almost kind of has A no trade clause(or the same effect). so not sure NYI wants anything to do with Faulk or Leddy..
but lets say we move both somewhere that frees up approxiamately 10M I think.
Would you give up say a 1st, Bolduc or Neighbors, and Jirichek or Lindstein?
Or maybe we can get them to take Buchy and something.

The Blues gave him a #25 jersey and you guessed it…no Kyrou nameplate on the back. Hmmm….![]()

For what it's worth -- Montreal sports talk drive by hinting that Ottawa is really interested in trying to make a deal for Kyrou.
It that is true, it would have to be centered around Pinto or one of their D men. Pinto would be ideal but would require Ottawa to pony up more. Qouting Servalli Armstrong is the one doing the calling around the league to gauge Kyrou's value. Grain of salt as always.
