Let the Garrett Hampson era begin!
And a bonus Thomas Saggese sighting...
And Nolan Gorman gets a start vs a LH!

It is a crazy day!

Mozeliak keeps fishing in the bottom of the barrel. Now watch Hampson hit for the cycle tonight.

Mo, the strategist, and Lil oli can't help themselves. Why are they starting a guy who was just signed yesterday? Why is Nootbaar sitting now that his bat is showing life? I don't care about lefty/right [nonsense] when guys are hitting. Utter stupidity from these fools.

Hampson- If you were ever going to start the guy this would be it. Scott is the everyday guy but he has been brutal vs LH pitching. Tough lefty on the mound.
Saggese- Like Hampson it is RH bat vs LH pitcher.
So it comes down to the other LH bats and who sits vs the LH starter:
Burleson- no way he sits. He has been crushing it.
Donovan- no way he sits. Has been one of your best bats all year.
Nootbaar/Gorman- Noot has picked it up but so has Gorman. I like the choice of Gorman because we NEED to find out who he is!

Meh doesn’t matter Scott is hitting .182 against them and hampson is hitting .158 against them this season so not any better and slightly worse

Yeah, and he's no Scott defensively. Not many are.

It was either play Noot or Gorman and the plan is probably to alternate them today and tomorrow against two lefty starters.

So might as well gove scott some rest since he struggles vs them anyways. Dont want to burn the guy out starting 150+ games in heat

Thanks, Crav.
Truly, you won't know the players without a scorecard. Don't forget that dollar pencil, either!

I think that the push was to get Saggese a start.
After that, pick the LH who sits. BD, LN, or NG .

Hampson's sprint speed is 28.7, tied for 2nd with Walker behind VSII's 30.1 (4th in MLB).

Notice a pattern?

These additions to the team leave me with a little throw-up in my mouth. But I understand that they don't want to waste a year of service on any of the potential players of the future.
