There's room for a Jordan Kyrou on ANY roster in the league, no matter his metrics or intangibles.
Sure I wish there was more could say that of many players but I love the guy and have supported him since he came here.
Having said that, knowing the near future of this franchise's player and prospects, I would move him for the RIGHT stud D man BUT that player has to be no doubt risk free......same as I view JK.

I have to ask. If all of the Kyrou isn't as good as he seems and is the worst ever in the playoffs was true. Why would the Islanders or anyone want him in a trade?
Not every GM is Doug Armstrong level of savvy.
His regular season numbers will blind folks who don’t watch him closely.
With Kyrou’s all world physical skills, how many assists should be he have in his career playoff record?
He has played in 28 playoff games.
I am going to presume most people at the GM level are reasonably smarter than we are at hockey. It is their lifelong job.
Why did you focus on assists? Kyrou’s value is as a goal scorer. I think we would all like to see more out of him than 11-2-13 in 28 games. And the team needed more out of him than 3 goals last year in the playoffs.
Not liking a player isn't a good reason to just trade them away for nothing. The team will end up where Vancouver is.

Love to see us move out Buchnevich and Kyrou shortly.... would have to replace the 56gls.

I know Buchnevich is the furthest thing from a glamorous player. He looks like he is miserable most of the time.
But in nine less career playoff games in a blues uniform … he has 40% more points than Kyrou and a waaaay better plus minus.
Buchnevich does the dirty work, and can score a goal.
Maybe he should be a second liner, but he bleeds blue gallons more than the other guy.

Kyrou is among the best and worst Blues players I have ever followed.
I cannot stomach another seven game series where his fragile heart and soul make him worse than invisible for the seventh game.
If he gets us a solid D man… for the love of all things sacred, rip the blue note off his sweater.
Do people forget what style of play wins playoff series? It ain’t the style he might ever buy into. How long of a rope do you give a heartless p#ssy who is 6 foot tall and almost 200 pounds?
I seem to remember him scoring in game 7, which is more than I can say for a lot.

Assists tell me a hell of a lot more about effort and desire than goal scoring.
Any figure skater with a freakish good shot can find an open place and score. Early Brett Hull was a reasonable example.
He never won a cup until he figured out what it takes to win in the playoffs. They are very different games than those in the regular season. Kyrou has consistently been exposed for his timidity and lack of real sacrifice, or even consistent hustle when the games count the most.
Who said trade him for nothing? He does have good value.
Just not as a guy who will ever be handed Chaser’s shoulder pads after a playoff game.

Id be shocked if Army moves Kyrou but i think in the realm of possibilities. Unless something productive is coming back in the form of a RW scorer then the Blues forward group would be in a bit of trouble. Theres not much in FA pool, Brock Boeser? Marner? That would leave Snuggie as the only true RW shooter on the roster besides Thomas and Sunny.....
Bolduc and Buch both play right wing. If you are saying someone needs to be right handed to play right wing, that's not true. The Panthers just won the cup twice in a row with only 2 right-handed forwards.
Why would you be shocked if the Blues traded from a position that they have a surplus in to fill other needs?
Yes a team full of LH shots only is problematic esp on the PP also can be easier to defend in some cases. Two of Floridas 4 right wings actually shoot right (Samoskevich and Reinhart), vs the Blues who would have literally only Snuggerud. Sure the Blues can make it work but its not ideal

With what was listed (figure skater, timidity, lack of real sacrifice, lack of consistent hustle) you don't paint a picture of a player anyone would give much of anything for. I hope for the sake of the team, if they trade Kyrou, you are the very minority opinion. If not he isn't worth trading.

I don’t recall a team being outscored but given the victory cause they “tried harder”
No one ever asks how, just how many.

I get it.
However, anyone tuned into that game seven- Kyrou did make it to the net in time to salvage a broken play for a tap in to begin the game- got to hear a network Color Commentator with a long NHL Career and decades of watching the game of ice hockey, call Kyrou out by his fricking name for the utter lack of compete in a Game Seven… was told very plainly the same things being claimed here.
That was a stain in the Note if I ever felt one. Many here did not need to be told. We had been squirming almost every time he stepped on the goddanged ice.

This made me laugh
I am not surprised.
You are the Jon Snow of this board.
Tell me all about the drama of Petro’s “Cup winning goal”
I never grow tired of it.
Took me off ignore once again?
That Buchnevich icing must have broke your heart. If not he could score in big games. 8 mil. Sad face
I haven’t had you on ignore for a while. It’s a waste of time as people here quote you too much.
Why did you suddenly quit bragging about Petro’s SCF winning goal, little buddy?
After you answer that initial question, you can try to explain why you were laughing.
I can wait.
It’s hard to get a straight answer from a skanky troll, but I am an optimist about most things.

Imagine if Buchnevich could hit an empty net lol
Buchnevich has scored an ES goal in 1 of the 27 games he has participated in.
