The ownership was worse than bad. They sued each other into oblivion, while they owned the teams! It's all in the public record.
I read about that. But many, that didn't do any research, will still blame the fans. And the team only made the playoffs once. It reminds me of the Rams in a way. Sadly, since both markets lost 2 teams, outsiders will always have a negative perception. And it's very difficult to change that.

But I'm in favor of expansion. It only helps grow the game.
The game doesn't need more growth. Why would you want to add teams and make it harder to win a Cup?
It didn't stop the Blues winning in 2019. Atlanta is never going to care about hockey without having a team to cheer for.
