Contreras' K rate hasn't been good. On the other hand. One of the reasons I've been so supportive of Burleson is his bat to ball skill.
Burleson is making it tough on his naysayers the cat can hit
He’s on a good run, just like he went on during June/July last year. Hope he keeps it up this year as opposed to last year when he went back to being a mediocre bat in August and terrible in September.
Could be he figured some things out, he sure hits a lot of line drives and takes them the opposite field with good gap power. But you already knew that
Round and round they go.

I didn't invest nearly as much in Son of Shady so mods got me quick. You must really dedicate a lot of time and money logging in/out and paying for proxy IPs and good VPN. I have to give it to you, you are one hard workin' dedicated troll!
At times he logs in with multiple devices when he's desperate for someone to agree with himself. Shady plays the phony "let's just talk about baseball" good cop while his sock of the week is bad cop. I tried extending him an olive branch but he took a dump on it. These antics come from a 76 yr old. Pathetic.

Above average bat with defensive limitations but he could prove me wrong. Hes improved each year. Hed have less hater if it werent for the shady hype.
"Hed have less hater if it werent for the shady hype". That's senseless.
Intry not to engage too much in it but its so overboard that sometimes the sheer number of threads about him made me wish he was gone in past years. You were that over the top so.meimes that it actually made people hate him cuz they were sick of hearing about him.
You are probably right. I was overbearing. But, I hope you and others are now kind of pleased that I was right on.

Future All Star, maybe?
You started the “Burly is a Star” threads in early 2022. He was terrible in 2022 and 2023, and mediocre in 2024. So now you can say he’s hitting very well but he’s still the slowest guy on the team and horrible defensively, so let’s calm down.
"You started the “Burly is a Star” threads in early 2022". Could ole' Shady have been correct? As wisely said, "better late than never". LOL
Ha! That wasn’t me. Maybe one of your alter-egos

Burleson has developed into an elite major league hitter, like many pitchers, over a few seasons with ups and downs. Wilted late last year, the long season, StL weather, and league adjustments I’ve been a believer from the beginning, his minor league path left no doubt he could hit. And he is, lefties and righties. Defense isn’t a major liability, he routinely makes good plays.Took many shots for it as a few others have. If you can’t see this dude can hit, you aren’t watching what I am. He’s a player of the month dark horse.
