What do you think it would take to get him back? Do you think Buffalo would let him go?

A 30-yo winger (with a no trade clause who will veto Buffalo) and a mid first is a very, very long shot to be the best offer to get a younger scoring center if he is available.

I think it does diminish it some, but for it to diminish all the way down to buch on an atrocious deal, is ludicrous. That's my opinion. I'm thinking for someone to take buch ud have to throw a 1st in. Maybe I'm wrong.

This is aside from any TT talk but more about Buch.

He had a tough year in a lot of ways but I expect him to live up to his AAV in the coming years. Not all of them, but I think we see a rebound begin next season. I certainly hope so.

A comparable move would be Snuggerud, a 1st, a 2nd, Texier and Joseph.

Tex and Joseph have less value than Berglund and Sobotka but the point is more the prospect and pick haul.

Not a chance. Scoring center is a very scarce commodity and 27yo Thompson at 7.14 for 5 more years with cap going up, and Thompson only having a 5 team no trade list.

A reluctant 30yo winger on a deal with spoiled milk at the end plus a mid first being the best rebuilding offer on the table for the Sabres? That offer in no way resembles the ROR return.

I am not saying it is the ROR scenario but could it work to be like it? Yes I believe it could. I am not saying Buch and a first does get it done. Buch is a high level hockey player no matter what the people here think about him. Hockey players have up and down years but Buch is a top line talent almost anywhere he would go. If he is available I think the blues should do what they can to get him. Other than get rid of Snuggy, (i just bought his jersey about a month ago) so I would hope it’s not him but anything other I would be ok with

He did an interview, want to say it was with Spittin' Chiclets, just a week or two ago and stated he was super disappointed in his teammates not standing up for him after the hit that he got concussed on.

That might be where that rumor is starting from

It was with Strickland. Strick asked him about it, Tage said he was disappointed but after the coach made a point that couldn’t happen again, it didn’t. Strick also asked about how he liked his time in STL and TT gave a polite answer and said you never know where your career may go and who knows, he could end up back in STL. Rumor mongers have now turned it into a rumor he wants out. Almost certainly pure [nonsense].

I mean, maybe he eventually forces his way out but if you were Buffalo, would you ever voluntarily consider trading your 40 goal scorer? I could see him score 50 if things fall in the right direction for him.

Dont get to see him a lot. Does he still primarily play center?
