We don’t really know what was up last inning. The first two guys walked and the bunt was anticipated. Pages squared to bunt, the pitch was a strike but Pages didn’t attempt to bunt, he pulled his bat back.

Gorman can’t get picked off there but he was put in a tough spot. I believe the bunt must have been on but even though the pitch was a strike, Pages didn’t attempt to bunt but pulled the bat back. If he is bunting he’s not going to get a better pitch. The whole thing just wasn’t thought out very well.

Well you don't know that because it wasn't 3 feet outside.

Gorman has to take a secondary lead there if he's going to be able to advance if the bunt gets down.

That's a base running mistake no matter how you look at it, it's not a suicide bunt.

I guess you've never played the game. Gorman was had by Pages pulling the bat back on a pitch that could have easily been busted.

Without a secondary lead he doesn't make it to third.

I have played the game and coached, and you never wander that far off the base, able to be picked off, anticipating the ball will be bunted. Pages mag have missed the sign (don't know) but Gormon was responsible for getting picked off.

I don't how you coached but Gorman doesn’t get to third if he doesn't get a secondary jump and when you your hitter squares around and you can see the pitch is going to near perfect to bunt the baserunner is going to be leaning.

It's not the first time a runner has been picked off liked that and it won't be the last.
