Arenado in good company

Post by sp25 »

Sorry if this has been mentioned previously, but with his 350th home run yesterday, Nolan Arenado has joined an exclusive group of now 7 players to have 350 home runs and 10 gold gloves:

Willie Mays
Johnny Bench
Al Kaline
Ken Griffey, Jr.
Mike Schmidt
Andruw Jones
and now Nolan Arenado

All but Jones are in the HOF (who probably should be)

Congrats, Nolan!

That is elite company.
It’s a shame Nado can’t hit anymore or else he’d have had an outside shot at 500 homers.

At this point he’s gonna limp into 400.

He won’t make 375.

Only by retirement or career ending injury will he not reach 375. He'll likely reach 360 even at current pace this year. If relegated to a bench role for his last couple of years 15 more should still be doable. 400 will require a Goldschmidt-like resurgence while playing at a more hitter friendly home park.
