Putting together some nice numbers so far in Memphis.
Only 23 - bats left handed - and appears to have some pop in his bat.
Don’t know or hear much about him-
How well does his offense translate to the MLB level?
How capable is he defensively?
How far away is he from being at the MLB level?
Is he an everyday player?
Thx for the insight.

Re: Jimmy Crooks Ceiling?
I get the story on him and Bernal mixed up sometimes, but one of them (I think Bernal?) has a cannon for an arm while the other (Crooks?) is overall better defensively right now, and rates above average there.
Bats can both play and will land somewhere between Herrera and Pages, trending toward the Herrera end of the spectrum.

You ask questions no one can know yet. I'm optimistic for both.

Bernal/21 yrs old is the one to watch, he's showing both skills (defense and hitting) you want behind the plate.3dender wrote: ↑20 Jun 2025 07:16 am I get the story on him and Bernal mixed up sometimes, but one of them (I think Bernal?) has a cannon for an arm while the other (Crooks?) is overall better defensively right now, and rates above average there.

Yeah that's my impression, just not a very informed one.
