there's always the Draft accordion promotions...expect promotions and releases around or just after the draft. Peoria will likely lose several players to organizational release. Same with Springfieldtyoung12290 wrote: ↑19 Jun 2025 21:29 pm I wonder if we get some promotions not that a playoff spot is locked. Ixan seems like a lock with hence returning and Memphis still rolling our Taylor/cornwell plesac etc.

Re: Minor League Updates (6/19) ~ Cards System
If Bernal keeps up his pace it’ll be interesting to watch in Memphis. Bernal and crooks rotate between dh and catcher. Maybe some first base reps. Bc that’s really our only hole at Memphis.

the light hitting OF is a concern. We have nothing to promote...with the exception of Church. But he just got there.tyoung12290 wrote: ↑19 Jun 2025 21:36 pm If Bernal keeps up his pace it’ll be interesting to watch in Memphis. Bernal and crooks rotate between dh and catcher. I agree with Bernal needing a promotion, but Peoria has no catcher that deserves a promotion. I don't mind Linarez stepping into the main catcher role at Springfield, he's pretty darn good....but he needs a capable back up. Perhaps Tarlow can do the job? But I'm not impressed.
Ryan Campos has been brutal this year. The PEORIA pitching staff is in shambles, and he hasn't hit well at all. Not a good pick in the 3rd round, we really reached on that one on an underslot deal

I'm hoping that the Cardinals will trade Crooks at the deadline and promote Bernal then. Springfield can make do for the final 2 months.craviduce wrote: ↑19 Jun 2025 21:37 pmthe light hitting OF is a concern. We have nothing to promote...with the exception of Church. I like Crooks III more than Pozo...but that's just me . Crooks III would need to help bring back a significant haul for me to be okay with trading him.Talkin' Baseball wrote: ↑19 Jun 2025 21:42 pmI'm hoping that the Cardinals will trade Crooks at the deadline and promote Bernal then. Re: Minor League Updates (6/19) ~ Cards System
Agree about the Crooks return- and when I say trade him- that's what i mean, for a significant return. Perhaps as part of a larger package. Although I like him, I would be ok if they traded Pozo too and let Pages and Herrera catch the remaining games. Next season, I hope they introduce Herrera to LF and that at some point in the season Bernal is called up.craviduce wrote: ↑19 Jun 2025 21:45 pmI like Crooks III more than Pozo...but that's just me . Have yourself a day Joshua Baez! He’s going to make it tempting to promote him to AAA if he keeps it up.
