Walker misplays the ball off the corner wall. Over runs the kick back bounce. Then Brad starts making excuses about the corner ..'padded wall, chain link fence .

OMG ! It is so obvious there is one pad that is set on a diagonal there so if the ball hits that it will kick back toward right center .
I wish Brad would stop making excuses for the player who clearly didn't know the bounce possibility that should be scooped out prior to the games.

Steve Stone giving a simple explanation as to how WC messed that up and should have had it much more easily.

Have always liked his analysis even when he was with the scrubs. Knows his stuff and is night and day better than Brad Thompson.

Did not hear Stone's analysis but my first thought was .. why didn't he move off the bag , catch it and try to get his foot back on . Runner was not close to 1st . Sometimes the 1st baseman does not need to keep one foot glued to the bag receiving throws off line. Catching it first is priority No. 1

Here's an idea...make a competent throw

Trying to backhand a low throw like that coming at (likely) 95 MPH isn't as easy as some in here want to make it out to be, it handcuffs you very easily.

And Walker also didn't hustle out of the box on the ball miss played over the LF's head, settling for a single that should've been a hustling double.
