Gastelum has been a real oddity to me. 4 outs 4 K's. He gets a lot of K's. But at times seems hittable. He appears less inclined to walking lately. I'm thinking he will be a setup guy/closer in the majors in a year or two with a little more command.

What do you see from him duce?

one of the best changeups in the minors. It's a serious Miss pitch. So much bite. He lacked command in April, then went on a nice tear in Mid May to now....I think 2 runs total allowed in that time. It'll take a while to get the ERA fully to a place where Stat Browsers will say he had a good season...but we've seen him, we know he's doing well right now.

I would think all the ML teams in the Texas League would want to trade for him...badly. Glad we have him. Can't wait to see what he can do in St Louis... My guess he'll have one of the best changeups in the majors as well.

I am encouraged by his improvement in command.

Yeah, not sure if that was a railcar or a semi out there where the ball may have gone, but they might need to put a warning sign out there when Baez is AB.

Baez hit it through the trees in Frisco last week...apparently the ball landed in the Apartments parking lot behind the trees.

Wow, I should feel bad.
I was PO'ing HugeCardfan a couple years ago by putting Baez in about every trade package I could dream up on here.
Maybe having a little patience with young prospects with high upside is a good idea, lol.

LOL. I just couldn't figure out what we could get for a kid tanking the minors.

Ha, thinking his est. BTV at the time was around +5M.
You sometime see the lottery type prospect thrown in trade packages, which sometimes come back to burn the team that traded them away.
But good point, why trade away a very young high potential upside prospect when you just never really know.
