Pujols played 3B in the minors. The stretch was playing him in the OF.

Devers has never played 1B at any professional level. Only played 3B in the minors.
Well devers said he is fine with playing 1b now for the giants.

Showingnit wasnt about learning a new position. It was about saying f u to red sox management and not putting the team first.
He’s not playing 1B tonight, is he?

…and yeah, I think you’re mostly right. It got personal between Devers and management.

No but he is taking grounders at 1b and said that he will play wherever the giants want him to play.

Right… because the Giants haven’t told him one thing and changed their position a few weeks later. They haven’t told the media what a terrible fielder he is and that he wouldn’t be wearing a glove again.

Sounds like what the cardinals did to Contreras told him and the media he wasn’t a good catcher and had to be moved then moved him back to catcher after just a week or two then asked him to move to first base the difference is Contreras handled it like a good teammate and a man with class would and devers handled it like a bad teammate and a chump. And the red Sox didn’t need to tell anyone he was a bad third baseman anyone who watched him play third knows how bad he is and he was too lazy to lose weight to make himself better

None of what you say the Cards said about WillyCon, actually happened.

WillyCon didn't get enough time with all the Cards pitchers to get to know their repertoire and pitches, due to the stupid WBC and was calling things they didn't throw. Gave him more time to do it...

Contreras really did handle it well. Kudos to him.

Defers lazy? He’s having one of his best years.

Sox handled it wrong.

They told him to focus on DH and don’t worry about defense. Devers didn’t like it, but obeyed.

Then their 1b gets hurt and are like, “uh, actually, can you play 1b?”

Now devers is 100% the bad guy?
