Really dont have much homwrun hitters. Confreras had a slow start and will probably pick it up more. Gorman also has homerun potential. But arenado aint that guy and more and burleson is more a contact hitter with only moderate power. Donovan is a great hitter but not a homerun guy.

Our $30m thumper now has warning track power. Therein lies the problem IMO.

The lack of road HR is concerning
Lineup decisions and injuries- not the stadium (home or road) - are suppressing HR's.
The team's best power hitter - Gorman - is 11th in PA's.
The one player who has surprisingly surpassed his previous power profile - Herrera - is 10th.
Both would be in double digits if in the primary daily lineup since the beginning if the season.

Burleson, for one, has much more power potntional than he's producing.

Herrera has been in the lineup primarily daily, he missed a month due to an injury.

His SLG% is .424. His expected SLG% is .427. And that’s a career best. So no he really doesn’t have much more potential.

8O

The Bison has only FIVE (5) Home Runs in his last 360 plate appearances!

In his final 255 plate appearances last season he only hit FOUR (4) Home Runs.

But, he is built like a guy who should hit a lot of HRs.

T. Edman has 10 home runs, that would lead the Cardinals.
Because it’s a ballpark problem imo. Ballpark village bikes the airflow.

Yet we’ve hit more HRs in less PA at home than on the road.

Talkin' Baseball wrote: 17 Jun 2025 10:08 am Much has been said about how few home runs the Cardinals hit. While I knew that was true, I saw something yesterday that really drove the point home to me. Jose Altuve has hit more home runs than any Cardinal this season. Yes, 5'6", 35-year-old Jose Altuve. He would be the "big bat" in our lineup if he were here.
He plays in the Houston Homer Haven also. But your point is taken. To be fair, 1982 Cards, next to dead last in Homers and won the World Series against Harvey's Wallbanger's. Just get the hits and run the bases good. Live by the Homer die by the Homer.
