Zacha from Boston
Wonder about your thoughts on Pavel Zacha from the Bruins. A Zacha and Henri Jokiharju for Blues 1st 2025, 4th 2026, Tucker and a Bruins choice of Dean/Stancl/or Burns?
For the Blues
You get a 200' foot player, 28 year old center at just under $5 million for two more years, big at 6'4" 200+, good but not elite in the dot (just under 55%) can play 2 or 3rd line (or move to wing), played for Montgomery and had his best years 21 goals each season, about 60 points. Jokiharju (25 years old) can fill the RD on 3rd line with Leddy. He's a RFA and CapWages has him at $3.6 million which seems a bit high but...things are pricery this year.
For the Bruins
They aren't going to compete next year and need to restock the prospects. This gives them an additional two picks (one premium). A NHL ready Dman to replace some of the grit lost with Frederic leaving, and a choice of a center, winger, or Dman for later.
Still need to get Hofer under contract so little cap magic with Texier or Joseph may be involved. Be nice if the Bruins would take one off our hands to make the deal work.
If this deal has been discussed already my apologies. Just got here.

1. Yes I would be interested in ZachaPWD8730 wrote: ↑16 Jun 2025 15:32 pm Wonder about your thoughts on Pavel Zacha from the Bruins. A Zacha and Henri Jokiharju for Blues 1st 2025, 4th 2026, Tucker and a Bruins choice of Dean/Stancl/or Burns?

2. I think he cost more than you have listed above
Re: Zacha from Boston
Jokiharju is a UFA who I wouldn't be opposed to signing to a short-term deal.
I would trade Krug for Zacha.

Re: Zacha from Boston
Maybe right it isn't enough for Zacha. Based it more on last year's performance. He fell off to 14 goals and 47 points.
CapWages has Jokiharju listed as an RFA but they could be wrong. Didn't check any other sites on his status. If he's an UFA than that makes it all moot.

He's a UFA this year. Their info is incorrect. He's had 7 seasons in the NHL, starting in 18-19 with the Hawks.PWD8730 wrote: ↑16 Jun 2025 16:22 pm Maybe right it isn't enough for Zacha. Based it more on last year's performance. He fell off to 14 goals and 47 points.

Re: Zacha from Boston
I’d have Interest in Zacha, but honestly I have no desire to give up Tucker. He’s turning into one heck of a player.
Re: Zacha from Boston
Zacha would be an interesting get and a perfect bridge. Also another Czech who could help mentor Dvorsky.
Agree with Noted. I'd be interested but grabbing those two might costs more than the value they'd bring back.
I'd rather target Zacha isolated from Jokiharju and leave Tucker on our right side 3rd pairing, he didn't look out of place last year.

They certainly should be a bit sensitive these days to shipping out mid twenties D men showing promise.Frank Underwood wrote: ↑16 Jun 2025 16:37 pm I’d have Interest in Zacha, but honestly I have no desire to give up Tucker. He’s turning into one heck of a player.

I’d be interested in Zacha for the right price. He’s not very fast though but neither is Schenn. He’d be a good get but would be a little surprised if the Bruins wanted to sell him right now.
Jokiharju would be a good 3RD UFA signing depending on how much term and $ he would command.

Absolutely right! I really want to see Tucker take his next steps in a Blues uniform and not somewhere else. His pace and degree ofof improvement have been impressive.dhsux wrote: ↑16 Jun 2025 17:41 pmThey certainly should be a bit sensitive these days to shipping out mid twenties D men showing promise.Frank Underwood wrote: ↑16 Jun 2025 16:37 pm I’d have Interest in Zacha, but honestly I have no desire to give up Tucker.
