Screw Walman. Dude must be a real [ablution]. He’s been passed around the league quite a bit with several teams accepting seemingly losing deals to get rid of him

Agree. There's something off there.

When Walman is playing 18+ mins a game, that's a problem.
The D and goalie will always be the downfall for EDM.

The Oilers gave up a #1 draft pick for him at the deadline.

I wonder who the heck is between the pipes for Edmonton on Tuesday … what a gross choice Knobby has in front of him.

Panthers are just too deep in talent. They have Tkachuk, Bennett, Barkov, Marchand, Reinhart, Bobrovsky, Verhaeghe, Mikkola, Ekblad, et al. The Oilers right now have two overworked superstars and a bunch of guys named Joe.

Yep. Florida took a 2nd period off the other night or this series is over. Their depth is negating any home ice advantage for the Oilers. Bennett and Marchand may be getting most of the accolades but they have easily a dozen guys playing lights out hockey.

Gonna agree with this overall but the series remains game to game. Last night was not one of EDM's better efforts.

I do wonder who goes back in goal for the Oilers for game #6.

How many dmen with decent talent are on their 4th team by 29?

That trophy probably belongs to bennett or drai whoever wins cup. But yes Brad has been phenomenal.

Just refuting the idea of "seemingly losing deals to get rid of him". The Sharks also got a prospect (definite 25 year old lottery ticket". Honestly, I couldn't believe it either when I saw it, but there it is.

And Lundell, as well as Forsling's fantastic smart poke checks to break-up odd man rushes...and Luostarinen is pretty quick and excellent forechecker. Certainly you've identified the leading fantastic depth in goal-scoring and the big impactful D shutdowns and O-zone keep-ins at points. Really is a great well-balanced team.
And while I'm at it...I believe Marchand edges out Bennett as Conn Smythe at this point, but both definitely are worthy candidates.
