Cards humiliation provided Blue Jays "the most fun we've ever had"

Post by blackinkbiz »

In your own ballpark, after taking 2 of 3 from the Dodgers, and you allow these clowns to make you into a clown show.

“It’s the most fun we’ve had as a group so far this year and in past years,” Clement said.

I say for the thousandth time, NO OTHER MANAGER in all of MLB--probably all of professional sports--could have survived the past 2.5 years of ineptitude, which all began the night he removed Quintana after 5.1 IP and 73 pitches.

What a F'n loser mentality this guy has allowed to take over this organization.

When mediocrity is rewarded, failure is tolerated.

The biggest problem is DeWitt and Mo, and has been for quite some time. The manager barely matters until they change or are gone. Having said that, yes, Oli is not good.

Got it. DeWitt, Mo, and Oli are all problems. Very original.

Obviously, yes, to anyone who has watched the past 10 years.

Now here's where you talk about .500 baseball...

So the Blue Jay's had a great series where everything clicked, where so many ground balls and bloops found holes, and they had the audacity to have fun together and enjoy it? They played well, they should be happy. It was good baseball on their part, not a clown show. We are slumping in the pitching department with several hitters also struggling. You are going to look bad at times with that combination. The Phillies lost 9 out of 10 recently. Are they a clown show?

I know the whiners on here never consider it, but some 9f the other teams are also pretty good and they want to win. And teams go through struggles.

The OP makes it sound like the Jays are insulting the Cardinals. They arent. And we arent the first team with a winning record to ever be swept at home.

Of course Clement is having "the most fun we've ever had"; they're on current streaks of 8-2 and 22-10.

So because it’s not original, it’s not accurate?

lol, I didn't write the article. But if I were Oli, I'd be posting this sh*t on this wall in the clubhouse, about how the Blue Jays "had the most fun they've ever had as a group" at his team's expense.

If the team wasn't currently in the same pattern as the last 2 years of: slump out of the gate, get hot and look like a contender, then fall into a prolonged streak of miscues, bad plays and mediocrity that lead to losing enough that the ground can't be made up, things like this wouldn't matter. It would be just another haha, whatevs column.

But they're gonna have to keep performing like today to change anyone's minds. The last week has been absolutely brutal.

And the Phils have shown they're capable of going on multiple prolonged winning streaks which overcome their bad streaks. The Cards most definitely have not.

If you are getting that take out of that article you are looking for a reason to go after Marmol. It was not a blast at the Cardinals but a happiness of a team enjoying their current level of play. The Cardinals have enough to worry about with their slumping pitching staff and lead off hitter and center fielder to get upset about the happiness of another team.

Blue Jays have been playing good ball for awhile.
Not just the Cards series. They should be having fun. Winning does that.
How is it that the Cards are “humiliated”??
Tip of the hat to the Jays.
Cards were outplayed.
It happens.
Too much drama.

I mean it wasn’t the Colorado Rockies, the Blue Jays have been one of the hotter teams in baseball lately. The same thing would have been said by the Cards not long ago. Even really good teams get swept.

Because they got swept in a series? Really? Was it also their fault the Cardinals only won 2/3 from the Dodgers? And speaking of the Dodgers. Who is to blame for them getting swept by the Angels?
