He isnt a bad skater at all he gets back on the play well has a burst but it looks like more lack of a hustle or intensity. Idk probably nitpicking but hes on the horizon for sure
I don’t really have any of these concerns when it comes to Dvorsky. Have never been concerned with his hustle or willingness to battle and work on his game. But agree he needs to work on his defensive game. That’s his main deficiency right now…which is also 100% normal for a teenager playing pro hockey. In terms of taking a step offensively, he needs to work on finding separation IMO. He’s already very effective on the PP where he has more time and space to work but to take the next step he needs to become more of a threat 5 on 5. And to do that, he needs to work on separation, which in turn would likely include improving his skating (not just speed but agility, balance, alternating speeds etc) and improving his strength. All things that are totally normal for him to still need to develop at 19 going on 20.
Even his first year at prospect camp he stood out amongst his peers.

Curious where you rate his speed .....he skates with power but I'm wondering if he ranks as a speedster.

Also, being sent back down seemed the right move .... do you see him starting at center or wing when he's back up?

We have another homegrown highly skilled center here. He may take a beat or two to reach what I think he is going to reach. But what's going to happen is there will come a moment when the confidence is fully switched on, and at that point we have the spine of a contender in the forward group.
Once ge gets to his peak what realm of player do you see him being? Pretty broad question i know. Do you think he will be a pk staple or 5v5 and pp. i dont know much about his faceoff ability especially with the transition of leagues.
Playoff-valuable, steps up in the bigger moments, well rounded two way scoring center would be his peak IFFFFFF he reaches it. You know how you watch playoffs and you envy the teams with the guys who love to step it up the bigger the moment? I think he is like that inwardly. Can he develop himself where that blossoms along with performance? is the thing to observe
Thanks for the breakdown. Is he more of a play driver like holloway is, or more of a supporting cast type for his linemates?

His speed is fine. Where he could continue to use some refinement is in his acceleration, agility and balance.

He’s a center but maybe he starts at LW if that’s where they need him. He was very dangerous the little wing I saw him play for Springfield. They clearly want him at C but nothing wrong with breaking into the league on wing like Thomas did.

He appears to be a dual threat center has an elite shot whether its one timer or slapper but also a highly skilled playmaker. Big body kid said to be very strong already but more of a plodding skater won't be a rush threat perhaps but lethal once he gets into the zone. Won't be pushed around.
By 23-24-25 is he a ppg center 35g 45as type?
Thanks for the breakdown. Ppg 2c would be hige for this team.

strong distributor, high level shot. he will be the driver on his line when he gets comfortable in the NHL
