At start of season team was seen as definite Sellers..then team had big winning month in May.. lot of talk about Buyers .. now slumping first two weeks of June.
If Cards play .500 ball between now and deadline and are out of any wildcard shot, will they Sell Sell Sell ?

Being we have discussed this and still haven’t satisfied our need, and in forty seven more days, more ups and downs will occur, thus moving the mood of the base.
My view. It’s a reset. They needed to shuck Mik and Matz in phase one, last off season. Couldn’t. No value.
Jump to today. Same two. Mucho value considering.

Absolutely sell. This team's ceiling, which I doubt they hit, is the third wildcard and an early exit. Let Bloom and Mo see what Fedde, Helsley, and Matz can return. Determine if Donovan is part of their future. If so extend him. If not see what a contender would give for him. This team needs to get out of its slightly above .500 rut. Winn and Herrera, maybe Liberatore and McGreevy with their progress, are untouchable unless someone opens the vault. If the NTC guys are open to a trade see what they could return.ramfandan wrote: ↑14 Jun 2025 09:51 am At start of season team was seen as definite Sellers..then team had big winning month in May.. lot of talk about Buyers .. now slumping first two weeks of June.

47 days for Mo to scour the earth for low-hanging fruit. Another 47 days of dry powder!

The answer is exactly the same as I analyzed with perfection before the season began.ramfandan wrote: ↑14 Jun 2025 09:51 am At start of season team was seen as definite Sellers..then team had big winning month in May.. lot of talk about Buyers .. now slumping first two weeks of June.

I will repeat it yet again here.
I know Mo better than Mo knows Mo.
He will do exactly as I have described.
He will not change course simply for a one game w/c crapshoot opportunity.
Helsley, Fedde, Matz, Mikolas, N/A, Romero, Maton, King will all be shopped - maybe a couple of others as well - if STL a simply hanging out in a big pack of teams.
But if STL is in 2nd place in the central division lead and no more than 5 games back approaching the deadline, Mo will see an opportunity to "go out a winner" - and will seize it.
That will mean keeping Helsley and Fedde until year end (settling for comp picks) & keeping much of the BP intact.
He could also be tempted to keep N/A and try to trade him (for the second time) in the coming off-season.
Easy.
Obvious.
Correct.

I'm sorry, but Michael McGreevy is very "touchable" in my mind. I'm not saying give him away, but that kid is nowhere near untouchable. I'd trade Liberatore too if the right offer came around. Winn is a cornerstone and I truly think Herrera is a legitimate MOTO batMort Gage wrote: ↑14 Jun 2025 10:18 amAbsolutely sell.
