The below are whom I consider the most
savvy baseball contributors here.
If I missed you, sorry.
I might have missed a few that deserve to be
on this list.

I have the following contributors:

A. Melville
B. Rockondkouie
C. Mattmitch
D. An Old Friend
E. Ecleme
F. Futuregm
G. Craviduce

I am torn between Melville
and Rockondlouie.
I'd have to go with a two headed
monster of the two.
Be a (drat) good team :D :D
Everyone except for A is overrated.....easy..obvious...correct

Craviduce, very knowledgeable, and, no one puts more time into the game of baseball, by my estimation. Might actually be better in the Cerfolio role as a hands on guy, but, that's just splitting hairs.

Melville, hands down. I'm, not familar with Mattmitch. But the others, besides Melville, on this list don't bring much authentic baseball acumen. A lot of defensive criticism of others. But not top notch analysis of Cardinals baseball.

That's a joke. craviduce is simply a reporter. He doesn't have very good baseball analytical skills.

Duce has more knowledge of baseball under his thumbnail than you have brains. But that is a very short walk.

The posts that you are making in this lighthearted thread
have you doing what you often complain about others doing.

Someone who is reasonable. logical, has a keen understanding of statistics; plus someone who is not a self aggrandizing egomaniac, and neither a complete jerk nor a total homer. And someone with enough political sense not to say: "Molina is overrated." (That leaves me out.)

The only poster here who might warrant an interview : RBI

Honorable mention to Matt
I actually talked to a team about a job a little over a decade ago… I was very interested, but the money sucked.

I'll play. I'll go duce (minor league guru)
Mel (easy. obvious,correct)
RBI rules (stat knowledge)
BullDog (likeable guy,we could hang)

(It is quite possible the best candidate doesn't post enough to know about him/her)

Given decisions and results of the past decade, you may well be overestimating the difficulty of the job and overvaluing experience.
For example, how hard could it possibly be to recognize the team has not had an established, productive, reliable, all-star quality outfielder for many, many years and that it would be a good idea to acquire one?
Would you like me to provide a dozen similar examples of ineptitude and incompetence on the part of Super Slo Mo?

Hmmmm.....very astute observation.
Speaking of astute observations, perhaps that was a reference to self??

Granted, knowledge. Common sense, not so much. Just like many other conceited, often vindictive CT posters. They feel they are special Cardinals fans and posters. They aren't. They may be smart. But they lack the instincts that some that they disparage have.
