Two things I'm dearly hoping for:

(1) Canada to bring back home THEIR Cup for THEIR sport after 32 years; and
(2) Connor McDavid --- this century's Bobby Orr --- to finally see his name where it belongs: Engraved on the Stanley Cup.

Kind of a strange take. I’ll never understand the whole it’s THEIR cup mentality. Like Canada owns the cup and America stole it. Super odd thought process.

Imagine how NFL fans would react if somehow a CFL team had won the VInce Lombardi trophy for 32 years and counting.

Kinda like the rampant take of Americans cheering for an American team loaded with Canadians … thinking they want them to win cuz … Merica

Yanking a goalie who was being betrayed by his skaters was the move that turned the game around.

You know, after 25-plus years of watching pretty much nothing but Canadian farm boys beating each other's brains out I don't feel like Canadians should be complaining.

That was the flat-out worst reffing I've seen in years. In the 1st period they called everything on EDM and nothing on FL, even though their offenses seemed about equal in my eyes. Then they made up for it by handing EDM the entire 2nd period. I'm thrilled with the final score, but I wish it had been the players, not the penalty calls (and non-calls) that made it possible.
