Do you know where you are? You're in the middle baby, You're going to d... well, maybe you aren't going to die. You're going to what- languish. You're going to languish. We wake up this morning with 7 teams in the National League with records better than ours, 7 teams with records worse- 2 teams in our division better than ours, 2 teams with records worse. We are where we have been for 10 years- in the middle. It' not an accident. We are built on purpose not to suck, but also not to shine. Welcome to the middle. Again.

There are other teams that do this as well. It is crowded in the middle. In baseball, 40% of the teams make the playoffs. But, a team in the middle doesn't even HAVE to make the playoffs. If we are "contenders" that's all you can do. If we can just see there from here, we've given a good-faith effort. Basically, being a "contender" means you are not in the bottom half of your profession.
