Donovan's toe
in his interview after the game, he said it was something on the bottom of the joint of his toe (I assume big toe).
hope it's not turf toe, which seems to keep football players out for a while.
has anyone heard a description of the injury and/or estimate of time he'll be out?

Re: Donovan's toe
Maybe he has gout. Comes on suddenly and often originates in the big toe. It’s extremely painful but can be resolved in a few days with meds.

Re: Donovan's toe
It IS the big toe. Haven't heard if it's left or right. If it's on the bottom of the big toe joint it could be the flexor hood. Very painful. Could hang around for a while. Might need local/+ steroid injection, Physical therapy, rest, ice, taping & splinting. Turf toe affects the top of the big toe joint and is very painful especially when flexing the big toe upwards like when starting and stopping. Same kinds of treatment. Hopefully returns quickly. He's a tough kid. We need him.
Re: Donovan's toe
When he returns I hope they keep him at 2nd so no long fast running in left field.
When Oli called AAA for the toe truck , I knew it was significant injury.

Just want to mention that the title of this thread would be a great CT handle.
